Ordered a snazzy German made set and returned it right away when I did not get the pixie dust type pepper I wanted. Bought the set of this and it was AMAZING. I love my pixie dust type salt and pepper. It's great that it's beautiful to look at. I only wish I had something that matched or was at least attractive that could catch the remnants underneath. But that's my only complaint!

The grinders are a great deal and look beautiful on the counter. I saved $75 over the price at a kitchen store near my house. My only issue with them is that the salt grinder is already corroding and won't turn easily salt is a corrosive material so I am going to contact the manufacturer and see if there is a way to clean the grinder mechanism. The pepper works great I like that you can get a course grind down to fine.

After a few days it stopped grinding the salt and since have not been able to use it.Love the design. Is there a resolution?

This salt mill has a magnetic top. Because the seller tosses it into a bubble wrap envelope without wrapping the mill in a bit of recycled paper, the top comes off during shipping spilling the salt inside the envelope. This also causes light scuffing to the mill and lid because the mill, the lid, and the coarse salt are loose and banging about inside the bag. There were also dirty smudges on the mill as if it had been handled or tested by someone with dirty hands. I would also like to see Amazon reduce its reliance on plastic and hope the seller will request recyclable paper padded shipping envelopes instead of bubble wrap bags which do not get recycled and become trash.

Peugeot designed an attractive pricey contemporary styled peppermill. Too bad it stopped working after one month. When the top is turned, nothing comes out. It just rotates without any resistance. Regardless of the settings, the mill will not grind. For such a simple mechanism to fail is very disappointing. Pugeot brags about how well built it is but their claims are worthless since the product promptly fails. Glad I never purchased a Peugeot car.

My previous Made in China grinder from Zwilling fell apart in less than a year.Decided to go higher end..Peugeot made in France. Was surprised to see the sloppy packaging...the item was popped into a small OPEN plastic bag...not even tied with a tie tag. Not surprisingly, It fell out of the bag during shipping leaving salt all over the inside of the shipping box.When I operated the crank with the salt provided, it was VERY rough..not at all smooth. I may have something to do with the mechanism. Peugeot manufactures only one stainless steel grinding mechanism for BOTH salt and pepper.Many chefs prefer hard ceramic for salt mills. Peugeot say their stainless steel is as good as (better) than ceramic. I question this. Salt crystals are quite different than peppercorns. I will return this and replace with a Cole and Mason made in England ceramic mill

Je suis très déçu, pour un produit Peugeot, il y a beaucoup de jeu dans les molettes. La mouture est très peu uniforme, j'ai des gros éclats et des minuscules, c'est pas exactement ce que l'on veut. Parfois, on a l'impression que le moulin est vide, car ça tourne un peu dans le vide, et puis par moment, ça reprend, et même ça bloque parfois. Bref, je suis assez déçu, j'avais déjà eu des moulins de cette marque, mais là , c'est un peu triste de payer autant pour qu'il ne fasse pas mieux qu'un moulin de grande surface.
