Unlike the other reviewer, I had no problems with this salt mill which I bought to match my wonderful Peugeot pepper mill. I bought standard coarse salt and using the knob was able to vary the grind from coarse to fine. However, it came with peppercorns inside! Luckily I opened it up and was able to remove them before any harm was done.

I've wanted a Peugeot for a long time, but could never justify the price point. Got this one for a super good price, but was so disappointed in the performance. I ended up with a cheap Chinese copy with plastic blades that functions much better for now. Sadly, my dream of a real Peugeot was not what I'd hoped.

I've been on my bougie salt journey for a while now. We keep Diamond Crystal Kosher to pinch, Maldon to dress, and I figured those pyramids get so chunky sometimes we ought to also have a way to grind them that matched our pepper mill. Peugeot is the og w the pepper mills so why not salt too? I liked that they would be like matching chess pieces of flavor to make the steaks taste great on my plate.I knew I wanted a "natural" finish. I don't know what to say. The actual product is somehow a little... what? "Greener?" "Sallow?" Not the look of like, for example, your maple cutting board or your classic wooden kitchen spoon. The other "natural" finished wood in your kitchen is that good old-fashioned blonde grain, plain and wholesome, nothing fancy. This wood is like that color's weird, goth cousin. Almost gray.You will probably love this thing and we use ours every day and would replace immediately with the same thing. Still. For a bougie couple like us, it feels a little weird: we've now spent a little money on different types of fancy salt (and loved every minute of it! no more umbrella girl for us!) and ways to serve them. seems strange to have come so far and missed the mark with something so simple, immediately striking, and impossible to fix.

Very disappointed with this product, and would return if i could. The grinder does not adjust. All I can get out is salt powder. Could grind for 10 minutes to get 1/4 tsp! I have a matching pepper mill that works very well....not sure what is wrong with the salt grinder.

Bought both a Pepper and Salt Mill. Figured these look nice, are not too gaudy and would look nice on our dining room Table. Received the Salt mill and noticed it was not the same color or detail wise as the Pepper mill, which is more detailed and darker. Also the nut that secures the top is different between the two.

This is BEAUTIFUL, but it broke after probably a total of 10 uses. For the price I paid, I'm VERY disappointed.

Jätte dåligt kvalitet. Skruv som är på topp låser upp sig direkt efter en vridning , så det är nästan omöjligt och stela in till att kunna använda. Det är andra som vi har beställt. Den första tänkte jag att det är en dålig ex. Men den andra har samma problem.

I purchased this as I loved the shape. I needed to replace a salt grinder of similar shape which may have even been a peugeot looking at the symbols. The old one ground well with infinite adjustments and plenty of salt dispensed. This one barely dispenses any salt and no matter the adjustment it takes so much time and rotations of the handle to get any salt out. So disappointing and frustrating. Funnily the pepper grinder that matches seems OK.

Bought a pair for salt and pepper(30988 and 30971). They look pretty great. Looks like they are handmade. The grinding feels good but I have one major flaw with both of them: The adjustment knob doesn't stay in place!!! as soon as I start grinding, the knobs get loose and I can't give more than 3 turns before having to readjust the knob..... Am I using them incorrectly or it's designed like that? I don't know but I'm very disappointed...

Unlike the other reviewer, I had no problems with this salt mill which I bought to match my wonderful Peugeot pepper mill.
