We got our son a new gaming monitor for Christmas but didn't realize the base was too large for his computer desk shelf so this allowed us to mount it and keep it safe and now able to angle it and since he is playing back and forth with computer and mouse he likes having them both going at once. It holds well and doesn't appear it will damage the desk with the clamp

Not a lot to say: Was easy to assemble, works as a monitor arm too, quality metal and function, smooth operation.Suggested additional feature...a way to strap/lock the laptop to the support platform.Otherwise, I would recommend this item.

It allowed me to have more space on my desk and my workspace looks better. Now I don't have to worry if I accidentally spill coffee or water on my desk. I like being able to choose whether to use it for a monitor or for my laptop. It's very easy to put together, it doesn't take more than 20 minutes. The size is ideal for my 15.9 inch laptop. The quality of the materials seems decent, so overall I'm satisfied with this laptop arm.
