These are a great value! I've been using plastic vernier calipers for some years. I have various precision calipers for transmission, differentials, disk brakes, and engines including digital, dial, and slide. But I don't need precision for most things like pipes and hoses or basic thickness measurements. The plastic calipers work great and I don't think twice about where I set these or what I use them on. The slide is firm and the scales are easy to read. The scale is typical 1/16" versus a precision caliper with a .001 scale.

The product works very well. Holds measurement position, is as accurate as I need, weighs very little for my overseas travels, cheap enough that I can give it away to the people I visit with no worries.

Ordered for a specific job, these calipers, made from hard plastic, did the job perfectly. For precision setups and in-process measuring, I would choose a steel version, but for less demanding needs, these are perfect, AND as accurate as their more expensive big brothers.

highly recommended, not as a replacement for precise calipers, but for when you want to quickly measure something OR measure something non-critical without scratching it. Like... watches! Love having this around. I do all my quick measurements with it.

Updated from below: I ordered Ultrassist and OntaRyon calipers in the same order. My previous comments shoudl have been directed at OntaRyon which are pretty much worthless, at best factory seconds of the cheapest possible calipers. The Ultrassists are better made but still not as good as a cheap steel caliper with a rolling thumb wheel but no round dial. Still wish I had bought a steel one US made. I've had a 'General Tool' steel caliper for decades and it is robust and accurate, but apparently they are now sourcing at least some from India. An inexpensive, reasonably accurate, robust, mechanical steel caliper is very useful. Such used to be common for well under $10, and accurate to within a few thousandths of an inch. Those are harder to find now, and these plastic ones don't come close to the accuracy, utility, durability, and ease of use of those cheap steel calipers. I wish I had found a steel one instead of these. Plastic, quite simply, does not last.

Pour mesurer la tension de ma machine à tricoter circulaire. Facile d'utilisation. Je le recommande.

I don't like that it doesn't have a lock to keep the setting in place but it is very clear and easy to read

I liked the price and the plastic, and the vernier scale works. But the depth gauge was off by 1/16 inch (poor manufacturing), and one of the calipers was really, really loose (more poor manufacturing). I guess you get what you pay for.

The markings are slightly off between the two which is what ever but the depth gauge on both is about 1.5mm off so it's unusable. If you're buying for your kids or don't need a depth is a good cheapest option but I'm going to return.

So frustrating. This is the 3rd caliper I've ordered from Amazon and they're all inaccurate.
