I work at a trout hatchery with a beautiful creek alongside filled with rainbows. I have enjoyed everything about this fly rod and artificial flies in the kit. Great quality at a good price.

Haven't fished with it yet, but I fully assembled it and took a few practice casts, and everything works perfectly! Strong, sensitive graphite rod and nice reel. The flies they provided are a bit too flashy (made to attract fishermen, not fish), but who knows? I'll give them a try. Definitely can't beat the price for all this.

The rod is overall very good for the price, and the reel is definitely better quality than most kits this cheap. Casts very well, although a little bit stiff for a 6 weight. Reels just fine and even comes with a few good beginner flies. If you are looking to learn but not break the bank, this is a great option. This is also a great option if you are just looking for a spare, or want to help teach how to fly fish.

I bought this for my husband for Fathers Day. He LOVED it! It is lightweight, has a nice case and comes with lures. He cannot wait to use it.

This fly fishing combo appears to be quite the deal. As a newbie to fly fishing, I wanted something that wouldn't break the bank while allowing me to learn to fly fish. When I received this in the mail, I showed it to my experienced fly fishing buddy and he guessed I paid $150-200 for it! He was very surprised to find it was under $100. I am impressed at the quality of reel more than anything. I am excited to head out to the river and try my luck at catching some rainbows on our next trip! I would highly recommend this product!

This is a nice product. The carrier bag is quality material and the contents inside aren't bad either. The rod itself is your standard 4-part fly rod and goes together nicely. Lightweight and durable. The reel on the one we received is set up for left-handed people (?), so double-check that as you order. The fly's are in good condition, hooks sharp. And the extra parts (clippers, pulley, line, etc) were a nice bonus. This is a great starter kit for those looking to get into fly fishing.

I thought this was a great little way to get into fly fishing.... And it was for a day and a half and on the 10th fish caught the tip snapped.It was a cheap pole so I guess I get what I paid for? Thought it would've lasted longer.
