Some odd colors, and some colors missing but they are all unique and vibrant on paper. Very smooth and glide well. More than worth it for the price great pencils!!!

was able to snag the 72 ct. like new and re-packaged for ~$9 shipped! at ~8 cents per pencil, i think these are great. it’s annoying they aren’t labeled, and a few arrived with the points broken off, but! i have had no issues with sharpening— all 72 pencils sharpened with no breaking. i suggest to use a handheld sharpener because they are made with cheaper wood.

I don't like that the color name is no longer printed on the barrel of the pencil. I have other prangs from a few years ago that do. This is not an improvement also the color doesn't translate well on to paper as the older pencils even though it looks the same color when put to paper it is extremely muted and not as vibrant as the older pencils. So if that is the sheerness rating it is very sheer almost transparent.

Prang has been a fixture in my household for the past eight years. I've tried several other colored pencils, from the humble Crayola to the ultra expensive Prismacolor, and several brands of varying quality in between, and consistently found Prang to be the best quality. They went on smoother than almost every other brand, and the color has always been very vivid. Prang has literally been the standard by which I measure other pencils. The most recent package I purchased, however, is notably decreased in quality. While they are still decent pencils that apply smoothly to the page, the color now appears slightly more washed out in comparison to the older pencils, and something about the "updated" shades makes it look decidedly like I am coloring with a children's set. This was basically the issue I had with Crayola. Not all the newer colors are affected - some are still identical to the older versions, although several of the warmer shades are different. I've also noticed they're waxier and no longer blendable. Another issue is the complete lack of labeling, which is causing me no end of grief. Half the time I've spent coloring has been on a hunt and peck search for the right shade. It's frustrating. And making me consider finding another brand.

For a little over $6 for 72 colored pencils, you can’t go wrong. I’m not an artist, so I can’t say whether these are the quality you need for decent art. I bought them for coloring adult coloring books and they work well. You can shade and even mix colors. Others have mentioned broken tips and I only had one pencil with a broken tip on delivery. I will say some of the colors are similar, but that seems likely with that many colors in one box. For the price, you really can’t beat them.

These are NOT the same as the lesser quantity packs. They feel light. They aren't labeled which really sucks. They break when using and when sharpening. I was using the light yellow and the lead kept breaking and did the same while sharpening. The pencil is now very short. Don't buy these which is very unfortunate.

These are the best pencils ever. The leads are very resistant and they color sooo well. I had a small box when i was young and i still have them and i believe i will have these new ones for a very long time. They blend soo perfectly!

Les crayons glissent bien sur le papier, la pigmentation n’est pas très présente. Pour le prix, 18$ pour 72 crayons c’est très bien. J’ai reçu la boîte avec une mine de cassé, et 3 cassées en deux.
