Product Description

Are you having trouble sliding your screen door open or closed? Have you checked your rollers/roller assemblies? Don’t replace the entire door. For a fraction of the cost of a new door, replace those worn-out rollers. This sliding screen door roller assembly insert has a thinner high density polyethylene frame than the similar Prime-Line part B 737. It has an adjustable high density polyethylene inner housing and 1 Inch steel ball bearing roller. It inserts into the bottom or top of the sliding screen door using the included screws and is adjustable. This style is found on Columbia sliding screen doors but is also used on a variety of other sliding screen door manufacturers. Order yours today and have your door slide like new.

From the Manufacturer

This screen door roller assembly is constructed from steel. It features a center grooved wheel and comes affixed to a thin nylon housing. This style roller assembly is used on Columbia screen doors.

I got my new screen door from Home Depot (forgive me, Amazon!), and it was hard to slide, and prone to derails, from the start. I tried all the mfr's recommended adjustments several times, and those didn't help. I bought these, knowing they weren't an exact fit for my door's dimensions. I had to pare two plastic clips off each wheel set, and remove their adjustment screws. Then they fit fine, and the door rolls without any sticking, or tipping askew in its opening. I think it's because these have axles that are solid through the wheel - the old ones are split, and intended to be held "shut" (to hold the wheel properly) by the side walls of the door's channel (if I'm reading the designer's mind properly). These have boosted my "He Can Fix Anything!" rating here at home considerably.

Easy to replace. Runs smoothly, the plastic that holds the wheel is rather flimsy and probably wont last it the slider is knocked out of the frame. It is inexpensive. The picture helped to pick the one to fit my slider.

SAVE YOUR OLD SPRINGS,, you may need them to get the new units to fit. These units are almost identical to the old except the heavier spring cannot compress enough to allow the unit to fully compact. This will leave you trying to reinstall the screen door with a pry bar as the height of the rollers is beyond the opening. The old springs, if in good shape, did fit, allowing easy re installation and adjustment, as intended.

These odd little pieces are exactly what our screen door needed. They fit like new, perfect replacements. Now the screen door rolls open/closed smooth as it should.

The OEM units that came with a very expensive screen door were the cheapest junk I have ever seen. They were all vinyl construction and the first winter took out the guides for the wheels. After that the door would bind up and was very aggravating to operate. The Prime-Line B 695 units were a direct replacement and a snap to install. the steel wheels provide the proper support and smooth operation. The only down-side I see is the frames and wheel guides are vinyl and may break down in cold weather. That remains to be seen. I also thought they were somewhat over priced for a mostly vinyl product. I expect to be replacing these in a year or two at additional cost.

Il on my 3rd and last set. It requires force to snap into place. Anytime you do this it breaks.
