The strong and sturdy tool is a must-have for installing the screen fabric and vinyl spline into a screen frame. It is perfect for large and small screen repair jobs and works with most screening materials. With a wood handle and steel convex and concave roller wheels, the screen rolling tool is highly durable. The metal wheels stand up to abrasion from screen materials, and the smooth wood handle is comfortable and easy to hold. The combination screen rolling tool has a 1-5/16 inch x 3/32 inch convex steel roller at one end and a 1-5/16 inch x 3/32 inch concave steel roller at the other. It is designed to be used with vinyl screen spline sizes from 0.115 inch up to 0.165 inch. Don’t risk tearing or putting a hole in the screen because you don’t have the right tool. Using the correct size screen rolling tool makes the installation job easy and stress-free.

This tool is grippy and strong and easy to work with. I’d recommend having some gloves while you’re doing this because you can sometimes slip and hurt your fingers a little bit in the process. I also only use the single edge side in my opinion. I’ve noticed that when you use the double side, sometimes it will actually tear a little hole on the inside corner where you are laying the screen mesh, and then you have to redo the replacement. When I am installing mesh, I liked to always push the rubber spline in from the outer edge of the rubber, so that I don’t have the possibility of damaging the inside part of the mesh. Also, I found if you’re trying to get it in it is helpful to have a flathead screwdriver to push in the corners and then also I would pull the screen nice and tight while at the same time you’re going to pull the rubber spline nice and tight so that it can make it easy for you to roll it into the frame and then loosen up so that the rubber can expand once it’s sitting in the frame.

This is a great product, no frills or gimmiks, just a solid tool that does exactly what you need it to to. I tried to do my project with a plastic version from the big box store, but it was so difficult that I did overnight on this product and it made all the difference.

It works as promised. I went through 3 rolls of screen mesh to make 8 screens. The tool rolled smoothly and durably with no issues.The limited selection of rollers my local store was flimsier ones with mediocre ratings. Glad I waited for the delivery of this one instead.

The plastic rolling came with the screen couldn't get the job done. I've ordered this metal one and it was so much easier to complete the re-screening. The price was right and I wish I used this from the start.

Tool works and build quality is fine. However, there should be a concave and a convex wheel but both are convex.
