The kit is great except for the scissors. They shouldn't include them in the package. The rest of the tools worked great and made it easy to replace our screens.

I have ~20 screens to make ...having never done a single one. Pricing at local shops are very high compared to materials available on Amazon.I first got a cheap little set... and the flimsy Mouse thingy. These bits are strong and seem more suited to doing a quantity vs the others. My only other piece of advise: make sure the sizes of channels in the frame and inserted cords are the same. Rather than scatter shopping as I did. Plan ahead.Good luck - there's a bit of learning curve, but the results are great.. Jim

This is a very complete set but it's somewhat redundant. You get two spline tools -- one metal and one nylon. I prefer nylon because there is less chance of cutting your screen. Metal is good if you are working with metal screen however it will also work on fiberglass. The set includes a pick which is quite handy for removing the old spline. Makes it easy to grab the end and pull it out of the track so you can remove it.There is also a tool that has a roller as well as a metal pick that folds into the handle. The pick is very hard to unfold. I actually had to use the other pick to unfold it.There is a tool that is described as being used to pull the screen frame from the window and also to put it back. I think it's actually an adhesive scraper but I suppose you could use it to press the screen frame back into its channel. I tried to use it to remove a screen whose handles had broken off and it didn't work for me. I couldn't get under the frame. The scissors are nice for cutting the screen and the spline.I replaced a fiberglass screen using the nylon spline tool and the pick. It worked just fine. It's a good set. I think the combo spline/pick tool is unnecessary but doesn't hurt to include it.
