Product Description

The Prime-Line M 6145 Frameless Shower Door Top Bracket Roller Assembly is constructed of extruded aluminum and comes in a glazing vinyl and chrome finish. It features round edge plastic wheels and has steel ball bearings to provide for long-lasting, smooth operation. These types of top hung roller assemblies are designed for use with sliding glass shower doors that do not use a frame. Installation tip: to prevent glass from slipping out from roller assemblies, follow the installation instructions which require the application of a small amount of clear silicone adhesive (RTV-108) and a 24-hour dry time prior to hanging/using doors again.

From the Manufacturer

This extruded aluminum bracket houses a 3/4" diameter nylon roller. It includes a vinyl sleeve. Used on solid glass panels with no frame and accepts up to 3/16" glass. Took a while to figure out how to get the clamps installed on the glass door and the instructions are very lacking in any detail or instruction. I could not get the rubber pieces onto my door would the clamp they would not fit, after reading in the details on here I found that I only need the rubber pieces if my door already had them on. Otherwise I should use silicon calking under the clamp. So I used silicon calk, let them sit for 24hrs, and then installed the doors. Had zero problems with them sagging or anything, rollers are great and so much better then my old ones.

Update- with the problems that I mentioned below, and my being unsure of a safe installation after the rubber gaskets broke on installation I got bad news today— the glass door fell out of the newly installed brackets onto my neighbor’s foot, shattering the glass door and requiring 12 stitches in her foot. BEWARE. I purchased a set to help an elderly neighbor reinstall the sliding glass door to her shower. The glass size is 3/16". However, when trying to install the roller assy. onto the glass, the width of the glass plus the rubber gasket was too large to accept them. I had to install the rollers without the gasket and I don't see that as a good fit- metal on glass? No! The assy. needs to be slightly larger to allow the gasket to be placed on the glass and then the assy. tightened to hold the glass up. Very disappointed.

We used this product on glass doors. We had to open up the bracket to make it fit over the rubber piece. We also had to make additional adjustments by screwing screws tighter to stop it from slipping. It does work however I feel that the manufacturer should also include the silicone as an option instead of just the rubber piece. It’s been a week and it hasn’t slipped and doesn’t look like it’s moved. I gave it four stars just because I would feel more comfortable with the silicone.

Clamp did not work but rollers did. Transfered rollers to old clamps.

This is a perfect replacement for the broken door hangars. One note. The plastic inserts are pretty worthless as I could not get the bracket on the glass with the insert in place. There were no inserts on the broken ones I was replacing so I just used some electrical tape and it worked fine.

Very quick to install on our glass shower door. I was unable to remove the original, broken bracket, so I mounted this right next to it. It works perfectly, no issues. The adjustment option made it so easy to match the door hanging height to the other door. Impossible to see that it isn't perfect from the outside of the shower. And frankly, if you're in my shower, you probably like me enough to not care about my shower door bracket.

Good: - Exact replacement for existing.Bad: - Be very careful when attaching to glass doors. The clamp must be very tight to prevent sliding off the heavy glass door. Keep the glass on a flat surface to prevent cracking when torquing down. I used a calibrated impact wrench to ensure tightness but not crack glass.

The bolts did not penetrate the opposite plate enough to hold the roller onto the glass door. I bought 4 of these and did not use them. I could not be bothered to return them. I found something similar that worked at a local bath store.

They were correct size but very difficult to get on with rubber seal. The seal finally broke after a few attempts. So I put hardware on without the rubber seal but the glass just keeps slipping out.
