This spring and chain door retainer helps absorb shock to both your pneumatic closer and door from wind shock. The chain stop installs directly onto your door frame and door jamb to prevent overextension. Contains two sizes of strike plates and shims to provide adjustment for varying backseats. Installation screws and brackets are included with each door chain unit. High-quality finish allows it to blend in perfectly with your door and frame.

I replaced the door cylinder on our storm door after it bent from over-opening the door. Figured I'd try a wind-chain to avoid this happening again. This product was perfect. Easy to install, sturdy, inexpensive, shipped quickly - and the storm door no longer swings WIIIIIIIIIIIDE open.

This door chain was cheap but rugged. It was easy to mount.& and works well for my shed door. It was very easy to install. These instructions were straightforward although the writing was small I needed to take a picture from my phone, then blow it up to read it.

Sadly, you buy a high end screen door now and you do not get a safety chain. I bought this Wright kit and I am disappointed with the quality. The chain is OK, but the two tabs that secure the chain to the door and to the jamb are super thin. The tab to the door is literally a thin T shaped tab that distorted to allow the chain to pull out the first time the wind caught it. I ended up screwing the chain directly to the door for more strength. Also, they used to give you a length of thin tubing to slide over the chain to minimize noise, prevent anything from getting caught in it, and to prevent the chain from scratching the door. Sorry, they have cheaped out on this, too.

We put these on our glass storm doors to keep them from getting flung wide and breaking or hitting the light mounted beside the door frame. It works great, along with a pneumatic door closer cylinder to keep my door from damage.
