I have two Schnauzer pups that used to pull, bark, and chase anything in sight. Even though they’re a smaller breed, it became annoying FAST.Within 2 weeks, they did a complete 180 and I never used treats. I had to pop mine a few times to get them to react. Now they can stop and go on command. One of them was a serial barker and I’ve even gotten him to stop that too. My other is stubborn and used to refuse walks, now he trots along right beside me. If the dog goes too far, correct them until they come back. Give them less leash until you’ve gotten the control.1) Make sure it’s snug, not tight, around the dog’s jowl or the area closest behind their ears and by their cheeks (not on their neck). That part is more sensitive and all it takes is one tug for the dog to stop.2) There’s a red switch that locks the collar in place to keep it from popping off. USE IT! All you have to do is slide it.3) Keep the safety tips on to minimize discomfort. If the collar is snug and in the proper position the dog will feel the pressure immediately. Don’t let the raw prongs dig into their neck. I can take them off my dogs for an adjustment, bath, or give them a break while they’re inside and they will come for me to put it back on with no fuss. You want them to like wearing the collar and be comfortable, if they associate it with pain they will hate it.

My dogs like to pull when going for walks and this style of collar helps reduce pulling significantly. I previously had one that was all metal and kind of hard to get on and off the dog. I like how this one has a clip to easily take off or put this collar on.

I used this collar for the first time this morning. It broke within 4 blocks from my home. I tried to repair it and it broke in another place - 2 places- within another block. As a car whizzes by, my toy poodle Sugar, is loose and running. If I had the seller in front of me at this time, no telling what I would have done to him. JUNK!! DO NOT BUY!!! Oh and I am a dog walker and have never ever had one of these collars (from better brands) break while walking huge dogs. This one broke 2 times with a toy poodle. If you love your dogs, choose another brand

Great for dogs that are aggressive pullers. It has stopped mine from jerking me around and causing lower back strains. Living it. And , hey, it doesn't hurt them until they lunge and then they stop because it's uncomfortable. It doesn't do any damages but it sure does stop their lunging perking and if you have a big dog it will stop him from dragging you around. A must have to control the uncontrollable dog when walking.

The collar is of good quality. BUT the quick release catch is in the wrong position. It does not release the collar for quick and safe removal. All it does is release the leash part. I had another one which got lost, had a very nice release clip at the bottom of the collar, so when you pressed it, the collar itself came apart for very easy removal. Also on the better model the rubber safety caps are larger and thicker.
