I bought this to go in my power outage/storm kit. Obviously it went through a thorough testing phase beforehand, in which it performed flawlessly. A fresh set of AA batteries lasts a LONG time in this little radio, and it picks up local radio stations very clearly. The "tune" light on the front is handy to help you zero-in on the radio station of interest. AM reception is decent, but not as good as some other pocket AM/FM radios I have that also were more expensive. FM reception is great though. The speaker is of adequate size to deliver good sound for a pocket radio. It's not high fidelity by any means, but it sounds good and isn't too tight/tinny sounding at all. It sounds natural. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Man, a transistor radio has defied inflation. They are cheap.From a tech standpoint in 2022, they are simple and likely all work fine, as is true here.The downsides to this item:All controls are on the right as you look at the front: tuning, volume, and AM/FM/on-off switch. Logic suggests volume should be on a different side, as it's the most used aspect.The tuning wheel is larger than the volume control and sits atop the right side of the radio as you look at the front, so adjusting the volume without looking means you're going to adjust the tuner the first couple times you do this. If you're not very bright, you'll do that indefinitely.There are only five AM and FM numbers on the dial (oddly, they elected to include KHZ and MHZ on the front, and no one cares about that), so tuning is largely by ear. If you stick to one or two stations, that's not much of an issue. If you plan to be dialing around, it might be a downside for you. I don't view it to be more than a mild irritation, but consider your dialing needs here.This scant number of station number listings is typical on these inexpensive radios. If you want to spend a few more bucks, the Sony ICFP26 strikes me as a little more usable for easy of tuning.This item fits in most shirt pockets. It also has a belt clip and carrying loop. Reception is fine in my suburban setting near a large city.The lid on the battery compartment remains attached when inserting two AA batteries, so you can't lose that lid. That's a nice feature. This is not a rechargeable item, which you should consider to be a benefit if it's for emergencies. When a rechargeable radio dies, it just dies. Those with batteries usually signal it's time for new ones because you'll need to keep turning up the volume.If you're storing this for an emergency, tape the batteries to the radio. If they leak, they won't damage the compartment connections.As an emergency radio, listening to talk, sports and random whining, the sound is fine. You don't expect high fidelity for 10 bucks.Despite the mentioned issues, this radio suits me for 50 -100 or so hours I'll use it annually.

I like this radio. It isn't audiophile quality, but considering the low price point, it has decent sound. I mostly use it to listen to AM talk radio when sitting in my car or doing chores around the house or outside. It would be especially handy during a power outage. I like that it uses 2 AA batteries, which are economical and easy to find. That also helps make the radio small enough to fit in your pocket. I bought 3 of them and gave one to my elderly mom. It's a great value. Highly recommend it.

Standard old school dial, which can help when one is far away from the radio tower. Reception is better than most small radios. it seems to sip batteries. Antenna makes it even better. If somehow I lost this, or accidentally ruined it, I would definitely buy it again. I have included a picture of the radio with a standard pen next to it, so that you can get a good idea to its size

The radio is well built and for the price is an excellent value. The sound is good and as a whole reception is good. The problem is it is extremely power hungry and and batteries last about an average of 2 to 3 days. That does seem to be a problem and when the batteries start running down it looses the ability to lock on a station. My old analog radio using the same 2 AA batteries would go 2 or more weeks under the same usage. I know I use it heavily but thr battery life is very bad on mine.

Bought this radio to have access to emergency information should we have power outages or cell phone loss. Great radio to keep at hand along with some AA batteries (not included, no issues). Going to keep in the kitchen for easy access. The unit is a good size, easy to tune, quick to load with batteries and has good sound quality. Highly recommend for folks to have in case of storms or other events to keep you in the know on what's happening in your town.

It worked only 10 days after purchase. Tuning button is not working properly. Not at all worth for money. Waste of buying this product.

Radio met all expectations listed. Nice sturdy unit that also provides a pretty good sound for such a small speaker. It picks up all the stations that I wanted it to as I use it primarily for casual listening from time to time. I would recommend it from what I have experienced.

El radio no dura ni 3 minutos funcionando. De repente se va la señal, solo queda la luz led encendida. Lo apago y vuelvo a encender con los mismos resultados. Deben revisar que funcionan, antes de enviar o quitarlo del mercado. Me gustó su tamaño y que tiene un clip en la parte de atrás pero al no funcionar, estos atributos son irrelevantes. Lo voy a devolver.
