not sticky enough. I bought another adhesive repair material from Amazon that was really great. I bought this because it has a bigger coverage area HOWEVER it is probably half the thickness of the other brand. I'm using it -- and having to continue pushing it down to keep it sticking. I will not buy it again. Disappointed.

This leather repair patch may or may not be real leather. The pebbled surface and stiffness of the material do not seem particularly leather-like. I could be wrong though, as I know leather comes in a variety of thicknesses and finishes. This one just seems more suited for bookbinding than, say..an overstuffed armchair.Because I expected a smooth grain leather, this patch will not match the chair I had hoped to repair, but I can use it for a craft project and it will be fine.The adhesive is strong, and on a solid surface (like a leather bound journal or a keepsake box) the stiffness of the material will not be an issue. It will be a beautiful embellishment to your craft project.If you are trying to match a particular leather piece of soft furniture or a car seat, be sure to check if the current leather is smooth or pebbled. And keep in mind the patch won’t be as pliable as most stuffed furniture.

Work as described and adhere well. I used for a different purpose, to cover the back of acoustic insulation panels covering exposed fiberglass sound absorbing panels. Again, these adhere well. Five for this price makes it a good value.
