We ordered a name brand version online that was shiny and looked and felt cheaper than cheap. We had low expectations for this one, but it was FAR superior in looks and quality. The homeowner was thrilled with it and thought it was perfect.

Quality and beautiful matte black. Fit perfectly to replace the old one in our 50's front door. Looks great with our newly painted satin black front door. The only improvement would be to have an option for the inside one having a cover to direct mail downward. It doesn't appear to be letting in much cold air, but on the East Coast, this is a concern. Also, someone with small hands/arms could reach in and open the door. However, overall, we love these!

Just what we were looking for to replace our old fixture. It was easy to install, looks great and is almost air tight. I would recommend.

Whoever designed this was not thinking clearly -- a little horizontal lip on the inside piece catches the mail so that it gets stuck & makes it hard for the postal worker to push through. So, I caulked the inside edge to try to create a more gradated slope, and then put a piece of duct tape over it, and it works perfectly! Now mail doesn't get caught on the inside edge, but slides along the ridge I made until it falls to the ground.Oh, and one star off for low-quality screws. As I was turning them, the finish was wearing off with bright gold underneath, So, if you're drilling a new mail slot, maybe look elsewhere, but mine was a replacement, and I needed this size, and wanted antique brass to match my other hardware (and it is pretty true to color). Or, if you're up for a similar DIY that I did, go for it! Overall, I'm pleased now that everything is installed, but it did take some creativity to make this not a daily annoyance for my mail.

This QCAA Solid Brass Mail Slot is nice looking, though note that if you are not installing on a solid door, you'll need to install something so your mail doesn't fall inside the door.

Well made mail slot doors. Exterior door is spring preloaded and interior is gravity closed. Quite high quality, though finish is very thin - use care to avoid scratches.
