I bought this intending as a birthday gift for my toddler son but this came with such high quality I might have to keep it as a real instrument piece and only gift him this later when he knows to better care for delicate things. Overall I’msuper impressed with the quality and the sound it makes. I have a tuner and the pitch is accurate. The carrier bag that came with it is very durable and I look forward to bringing this to our camping trips and enjoy the sound of it in nature

Tones are not a good quality sound. Found better at Balmy drums. And Amazon has changed something in returning where they send you another after you return the first. 🤬

I bought this for my adult son who grew up playing the piano and guitar. He loves this steel tongue drum. It has a soothing resonance, creating a peaceful atmospher.

I've seen a lot of videos about handpan drums and was hoping that this steel tongue drum was going to be as easy to play as a handpan, but I'm sad to say that it was not. No matter how hard I hit the steel note tongues with my hand, thumb or finger it would not make an audible tone. The only way I was able to successfully play this instrument was with the provided hammer mallets (long sticks with rubber balls at the end). When struck, the notes have a very long sustain, so in order to play this you also need to be silencing the notes shortly after striking them. It's not an easy instrument to play, and is certainly not suitable for beginners. It's a very beautifully crafted instrument, and is made from high quality materials. It's a shame that it isn't an easier instrument to play.
