I have always wanted a rain drum - well, I didn't know that's what this was. I have seen these but had no idea what they were called or how to search them so I was delighted to be able to get this one.This drum is a pretty shade of light pink and has very lovely tones. Mallets are included so you can play your own tunes if you don't wish to let this have the random sound patterns created by the rain. There is actually a little guidebook with songs to play on this drum if you are so inclined. I gave it a try! Probably the easiest instrument I have ever made an attempt at playing. It's also very relaxing to just pick at it randomly without the song book. You cannot make a discordant tune on this instrument.The sound from this is very gentle. I can get a somewhat loud tone if I strike it hard, but that kind of defeats the relaxing purpose. I have not yet had a rain to put it under but can't wait till that happens. I would actually think this would work great under a little slow running fountain (if I had one) for ambient sound.This seems like a very reasonably priced little rain drum and I would certainly get it again now that I finally know what it is!

I was wondering what a $25 one might sound like. It was better than I thought it'd be. I have three other, that are much larger and vary in price.It's pink... lol. Very bubble gum pink. That's cool. Small, comes with a bag, accessories, and a book. What you might e,pect it to. An extra set of stickers. The ones on it are poorly stuck, partially coming up, and cheaper the look, but they tell you where to hit if unfamiliar. The bottom is easy to open.Mine sounded nice, minus two. I'll be playing with them. I could easily tap out a song. The notes carry nicely to the edge , so you don't need to be very specific. .out have a nice tone when struck correctly, but the two completely destroy that. If I'm unable to fix them, I'll just avoid them entirely.With that said, I'll probably grab it for some meditative tapping here and there or take it on a hike. Packed differently.For the price... I definitely have to give it four stars. It'd be a nice little drum to see if you enjoy the striking.💙

This is a fun little instrument to play. It comes with a pair of mallets, an extra set of slightly different heads, and an assortment of finger bands I can wear to strike the notes as well.The manual talks about the fact that it might not be in tune, which is not something I noticed. I did notice that there was a lot of sympathetic vibration from the other notes when I would strike one (and some more than others), making each note less clear than it could be.I'm also glad it came with a second set of note identification stickers, because the stickers that came applied were half-peeled off and gross already.But it's a fun little toy instrument. I think it'd be a fun addition to a kids' playroom.

Love the color. Like the sound. I have a one a bit larger that is the sweetest sounds, but I can’t keep it out because i just don’t have the room. That’s that this one is for, so i can just pick it up and tap away whenever it strikes me. I’m having a hard time finding the perfect spot for it or trhying to hold it but I will figure it out. I love that it comes with two sticks. The numbers were peeling off a bit when received, but It came with extras so hope they have a better adhesive.

The sound is smooth and relaxing. It's well made and should last a long time. It comes with drum sticks, finger picks, a nice velvet bag, and a music book. I got this to to but in my flower garden. They only way to test it was to tap the drum sticks on it (can't really test it in winter). The sound of each note lasts for about 10 seconds on one tap. The sound is really deep and surprising for something this size. I like this drum a lot and I think you will too.

This is not a "rain drum" unless you want to bring it in after a half hour or so and dry it off carefully. The included directions even stated that it is not to be left outdoors. While I'm talking about the included directions, they are much better than most, even telling the more musically inclined how to "tune" this. I'm giving it four starts even though I had sort of been excited about having it outdoors on my deck to make music while it rains, because it is a beautiful piece and it sounds so pretty. I know my granddaughter is going to love it.
