For this review I am going to have to start off with the cons! When your purchase an item on Amazon that is supposed to be brand new, you don't except it to be a returned item. As you can tell by the photos I was sent what was obviously a returned speaker. It is covered in scratches and had tons of dust and dirt on it! I am not going to bother with a return because I need the speaker now! But the seller might want to make sure they check their products better before shipping them out. I am ok with getting an item that was sent to a previous customer and never used. But this has obviously been used in someone's home or car.Now lets get to the good stuff!I purchased this speaker to install inside my truck to use with my new Radiodcity DB20-G GMRS Radio. I plugged it into the radio and gave it a test and the sound quality was crisp and clear. When adjusting the radio volume up and down the speaker does very well and the sound adjust accordingly. It comes with a long cord that gives you enough length for any type of install. I love the compact size, it does not take up to much room and is able to be mounted under the dash with no problem. And if you have to install on top of the dash it wont take up to much space. This makes an amazing and affordable external speaker for any mobile CB, Ham or GMRS radio. Despite the ware on the speaker I still gave it 5 stars across the board.I think you will be pleased with the way this speaker performs. It is very well built and can handle any ruff roads or abuse thrown it's way. I highly recommend it to everyone. I have used many deferent external speakers before and this one has out performed them all in sound quality, design and durability and you can't beat the price.

They’re pretty much identical to the brand-name versions—same look, same quality, probably made in the same mysterious antenna part factory. So why pay more when you can get the same thing for less?These parts attached, adjusted, and tuned without a fuss. No surprises, just solid performance that has my signal going strong. Five stars for delivering exactly what I needed without pretending to be anything more than what they are—just good ol' reliable CB antenna parts!

Can't really complain for a $15 speaker. It's tiny and looks clean. I use it with my Yaesu FT-891 for POTA activations. I used to run 100% headphones but wanted a speaker for when my wife comes with me so she could listen in and I didn't have to take out an earphone to talk. I've used this speaker every activation since it arrived about a month ago. I thought I'd reach for the headphones on my solo-trips, but I've used this speaker every time. Signals coming in sound good, even the quiet ones. I plugged the speaker into the port on the rear of the radio, not the same one I use for headphones. The headphone jack doesn't have the drive needed for a 5W speaker, but the back runs it just fine.Minus one star because it will start clipping if I have the volume too loud. Turn it down a bit and it runs fine. Might be an issue for setup while driving in like a Jeep Wrangler or something loud like that. No issue for my uses.

I got this as an external speaker for my TYT-9800 in the car since I have a hard time sometimes hearing during off roading. Its not the loudest since it isn't amplified, but the sound is louder and also clearer than the built-in radio speaker.I highly recommend this! For the price it can't be beat and it is super easy to mount!

I have an Icom 2820H ham radio, with the main unit mounted in the back under the seat of my Grand Cherokee. You can hear the audio from it, but there have been times when it was difficult to make out what was being said. I've wanted to have a remote speaker in the front, but there just aren't many good spots on this vehicle without it just sticking out there or in the way. There is a little cubby hole in the front dash stack at the bottom, right about the factory USB/aux ports. Because of it's location, it's hard to see up in and not very useful for putting anything in.....except this little speaker. I was specifically looking for one to fit in there, and it's a small fit, so I ordered this one.It was just a tad too big to fit, but I did some modifications and it works and sounds great and is essentially hidden. To help visualize this, think about if you ever bought an item that was tied to the back of the package with those long wire ties and how securely in there it was. This was the idea here.What I did was remove the front faceplate with the speaker attached from the body. To do this you have to unsolder the wires from the speaker temporarily. This allowed the speaker and the front of the plate to fit exactly where I wanted it, but now how as I going to attach it? Well I put some of the plastic screw down wire holders onto the same screws that hold the speaker to the faceplate. Then after removing that factory piece where I could work on it, I put 5 small holes on the back. One I ran the cord through and resoldered to the speaker. The others I ran 2 long wire ties and looped them through those wire holders on the speaker and back out the other hole on the dash piece and zipped the ties. To help visualize this, think about if you ever bought an item that was tied to the back of the package with those long wire ties and how securely in there it was. This was the idea here. It's all hidden behind the speaker, looks like it was made to be there, is securely attached and now have great sound from the radio. Even the shape of that cubby hole makes up for not having the body on that speaker and essentially acts as a new body for it.This sounds a bit harder than it actually was, but if you are a ham operator, you're not stranger to doing modifications. Point is, get creative if you need to for mounting options, this is a great little speaker for radio monitoring.

Very surprised at the build and sound quality of this extension speaker, Plugged into my scanner and the comms are very clear, For the price it is excellent value. Nice tone and not a tinny sound.
