I’ve always used scissor type cutters and I’ve never felt comfortable, therefore neither has my dog. He is already easily spooked, add in that’s he a strong dog that DOES NOT like his nails clipped and the anxiety sets in and I suppose for good reason. I cut a quick of his once and so did my son. He is tethered and muzzled during clipping but still pulls and moves his legs and feet and we are both shaking. I knew I needed to do something but what? I found these Resco clippers while doing research and decided to give them a try and I’m glad I did. When I first took them out of the box I saw how small they are and chuckled. Then I held them in my hand, felt their weight and I knew they were they were strong enough. When I squeezed them a few time I could feel their cutting strength and knew I was onto something good. I have a Golden Retriever and he gets his nails clipped when he gets bathed and trimmed at the groomer. My other dog is an 80 lb mix of explosive strength but also a cuddly baby. The Resco worked great! It took a few successful nail cuts to gain confidence and by the time I got to the last few cuts I was totally comfortable and Zeke was much better. He stands while I curl a paw under so the pad is facing upward and I can see the bottom of the nail. I take a wet sponge and clean the bottoms of the nails and it helps to see the quick when determining a cutting point. With this design, the ‘loop’ guides the nail to keep it centered and the handle squeezes so effortless it makes it easy to find the correct depth and makes a clean cut accurately, quickly and a much better sounding cutting noise. Some almost silent but nothing like the other cutters. I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. Also, with replaceable blades, you can always have a familiar, sharp tool that works great AND? yes, and made in the USA 🇺🇸

This is the easiest clipper to use. Gets the job done fast. Just rinse and dry, if you're using it on damp nails. My last one, purchased here, got rusty and when I tried to change the blade I lost one piece to a cat thief, and so I just bought a brand new one on another site for less, but it's still the easy clipper and doesn't smell funny or take forever. I actually have two different electric nail grinders and monster dog would never get used to them....

Not flimsy like cheap knock off brands. The replaceable blade (you can sharpen the original blade, super easy ,once removed) was the deal breaker.Well worth the money

This is the second one of these I've bought. First one lasted about 15 months before the handle got bent too much to be used. Sure, it's large enough to fit large dog nails into, but the actual handle isn't strong enough to cut them without eventually bending. The handles are made out of bent sheet metal and while they work fine for awhile, eventually they start to weaken and bend. And once that's started, they are no longer usable (and bending them back to "straight" isn't a solution since the metal is already weakened and they just deform again super easily). If you need an XL nail clipper, there aren't many options and this isn't horrible, just know that it's not up to the task long term and so I'd suggest going with a dremel or plan on replacing this fairly frequently.

Eine Krallenzange die schneidet und nicht die Kralle abquetscht! Es knackt nicht so laut und ist daher angenehmer für die Hunde! Ich bin zufrieden!!!

Great quality nail clippers my dog is a Belgian shepherd and this fits her nails perfect. Sharp and strong much better than the plastic handle ones you can buy as they just broke and struggled to cut her nails so I'm ver happy with these nail clippers totally recommend them. I must note she doesn't like her nails being clipped she is a rescue so don't know what has happened to her before so I'm now using the rechargeable electric nail grinder low vibration and noise and she is so much happier. My friend has two terrier's and they used these clippers and found them very good.

So much easier & more comfortable for my pooch than other clippers that pinch/ squeeze the nails at the side. Very happy.
