My dad got me this exact same mailbox back in the 90's. Wife said "OH Hell No!" as I was figuring out how to install it in front of the house. Got a pole shed out back, so I put it up off the side of the door. I think he paid $30 bucks at the Bass Pro Shop around 1995. Been sitting there in full sun,rain, hail, hurricanes and it has held up quite well until Christmas 2023 when the last hook broke and the bottom red door opener snapped off. It's faded now but the colors and material held up over the years.Today I just installed my new one. Came fast, box had a dent, but it was packed well so nodamage. The hooks attach with a key ring type fasteners. Comes with the screws for post mounting. Need a very wide standard screw driver.So at this rate, in 2053 I will be back and probably spend a grand for a new one.

We saw this mailbox while on vacation in Oregon at a seafood restaurant. Of course, we looked online and ordered it for our lake house. Because we are not part of an HOA we were able to install this unique mailbox. It will be easy to tell friends to look for the lure mailbox to locate our property. Fun addition!Update 6 months after installing: There is a plastic type film that is peeling off now. That film gave the appearance of fish scales. Disappointing. Changes the look a bit.

Awesome and the only one for miles!! Only complaint is the iridescent film wears off to fast, only 1 - 11/2 yrs life and it's all off??!! (I had one stolen, they cut the 6" x 8" post it was mounted to but must have dropped it. I found some parts; flag, chrome hooks, and part of the door in road! Hahaha, ASTERICHOLES!!!

I love my mailbox easy to set up looks great iv had it up almost 4 years now and now the clear coat came off and now its dull and faded

I bought this mailbox as a Christmas gift in 2011. I drive by it twice a day to and from work and always notice and admire it. It has a large interior compartment, and the hooks are perfect for hanging handle bags and/or small packages from them.I love the unique, whimsical fish design. The finish is outstanding; shiny, bright, and colorful, and has held up very well, especially for being exposed to bright sunlight mostly year-round. We liked this design so much that this is my second time purchasing it - the first one was stolen within a week of installing it the year before.

Loved this product when I first bought it. It is so cute and was the perfect addition to our home. People walking down the street stop and take pictures of it. However, 3 months later the finish is bubbling and peeling. I reached out to the manufacturer and they stated it was not their problem. They said that you have to seal it every 6 months. Except for I have only had this mailbox for 3 months. Also, what sealant am I supposed to use? I think they should be very specific about that in the instructions if that really is the case and provide the type and brand of sealant to use or provide it with the mailbox. Really disappointed.
