I give it 4 stars because it didn’t provide an option for my hose. The build quality seems fine though.These only work if your hoses metal wire spirals counterclockwise when looking at the end. My hoses happen to spiral clockwise and these overlap the wire which is what the purpose of the design is supposed to avoid. Rockler should have an option to pick clockwise or counterclockwise to avoid buying something that won’t work for the hose you own.

Rockler should be more clear in the description that these only work if the twist of your hose is the same direction as their clamp. They should make 2 versions. If you have the wrong twist, it actually makes the clamping issue worse as the clamp actually has to cross two wires.

As many have said, the twist is in incorrect direction.Be aware there are Left Hand and Right Hand Spiral hoses. These only fit RH spiral.In the fine print it will say for RH spiral but good luck figuring out the photos.

These did not work for me, but it really wasn't the product's fault. My dust hose has a "left hand spiral". These are made for a "right hand spiral", which is presumably what Rockler sells. Be warned that all dust hoses are NOT the same. Some (Peachtree for example) are left spiral and others (Rockler for example) are right spiral. Learned this the hard way.
