I have purchased several roof anchors and this one is the best value for money. They seem to be of good quality and weigh a little more than expected, which should be a good choice for use with a safety harness. These roof anchor clips are simple to install and can be easily installed with screws and a drill, and using multiple together can minimize the risk

Well made product!Just what I needed to access the roof safely with my fall protection. Why pay someone to check your roof or clean your gutters, if you are physically able to get on the roof.Thank you!

I needed some anchor points on my 12/12 pitch roof to assist with some repair work. Functionally, they worked for me but with no information about their ratings, certifications nor standards, I would not consider using these as the only means of anchoring for fall safety. I would not want to be liable for someone else using these for that purpose either. The metal is soft, so you may want to consider using truss head screws. For professional / commercial work, I don't think so.

These are very lightweight, that is a nice change from the ones I had previously owned. That set was loaned out and never returned.I have a 10/12 pitch on my roof. It’s very steep and tall. I have to go up every other year and clean the stove pipe for my wood burner. There’s a valley close by so I typically climb up and although it’s a bit precarious, I’ve never bothered tying myself off in the past. I’m in my 50s now and I don’t trust my footing as much as I used to. I figured it was time to start tying off when I go up there as I’m not likely to bounce as well as I used to. I ordered these so that once the weather clears and it warms up a bit, I can climb up and tie myself off this year while cleaning my stove pipe. I also need to re-shingle the roof on my barn this year. Although that is only a 6/12 pitch, like I said, I’m getting to that age that I need to start being more careful than I used to be. I may just tie myself off on something that simple also.As I stated, these are more lightweight than ones I’ve used in the past, but they seem to be decent quality overall. The holes for fastening them down look like they may be a little bit small, but if that’s the case, I will just throw them on the drill press and punch larger holes. I find it comical that the posting or the advertisement for these shows somebody nailing them right through the top of a shingle. I assume if you are ordering these, you know how to use them and you know that you don’t nail down through the top of a shingle. Since they do come without any instructions, I figure it’s worth mentioning that. All in all these are a decent value, after all, you can’t put a price on your life, can you? Safety first people!

These seem to be a nice quality. I am sure they are not the most heavy-duty anchors on the market but I don't think any safety gear should be 100% trusted and additional backup safety measures should be taken. As I live where there are often hurricanes or just heavy winds that don't qualify as hurricanes, I've lost my fair share of shingles to storms. I don't have much doubt these will hold up for use with a safety harness but my secondary purpose for these is to be able to get a tarp up quickly if I lose shingles so they can be replaced after the storm. These will make quick work of securing up a tarp as well as my harness. They are well-built, lightweight, and intuitively easy to install. I recommend them.

We typically buy the Tie Down branded ones and decided to try out this brand as it was a little cheaper. After we received it there were some serious concerns. There was no information on the box or inside the box. No instructions or anything. Just the three clips. The other brand we buy always includes stickers with instructions and other details on each item. The quality of these clips are questionable; they feel lighter and less durable. The presentation and information just doesn't jive. Be careful!

These are a great idea to keep someone from falling, in conjunction with a safety rope and harness, while re-roofing a house. The question is who attaches these to the roof ridge in the first place? My solution is to throw a long rope over the roof from the other side aof the house and hold it while a guy on the front ties off and climbs the ladder and installs the brackets. Should he slip and fall, I will have a hold on the rope. These brackets will install easily with screws and a drill and can so be quickly removed as well. With these three spaced evenly along the ridgeline, three workers can safely be secured.

I used all three of these when installing a steel roof. After putting on the sheathing, I installed these just before removing the temporary rings. They worked great and fit nicely under the ridge cap. I’ve used them dozens of times when going up to finish the roofing and for doing subsequent maintenance. My only critique is that it can sometimes be difficult to get the lanyard clip in and out of them. I’m not sure it’s a design flaw, just the reality of using flat aluminum that needs a wider rim to maintain stability.
