I've had this for 2 months and only used it on stick butter. It has worked perfectly without incident so far. I think it's important to remind folks that this is not a knife but rather a thin wire. When I slice a stick of cold hard butter, I take a few extra seconds when pressing downward. I think if it's forced, it may not last as long. As far as cleaning, I use a soapy dish brush and it cleans perfectly. I am happy and if it breaks, I would buy it again.

This piece of junk turned black and ugly after first washing. The blackness comes off (like soot) when touched. I’ve thrown it away as I was out of warranty by the time I used it. Definitely a waste of money.

This works great for slicing a whole stick ofbutter into even slices. It’s so quick and easy to use.I also use it for slicing cheese when I’m making a cheese tray. Cleanup is so simple too.
