This is a nice large sax cleaning cloth, made of soft flannel-like material. I believe it's microfiber, but it has a slight bit of a nap to it like flannel. It's designed so that you can pull it through your instrument to clean and dry the inside, but it's also nice to clean and polish the outside. We will hand wash it as needed, as I don't think machine washing would be a good idea since the long strings are sewn into place and I don't want to risk those getting tangled up in the wash and damaged. Overall very nice and useful tool for maintaining a saxophone.

This sax cleaning cloth is the perfect replacement for a similar one I had that got torn when it caught on the internal octave pipe of my sax. Having two pull strings is important so you can back out the swab if it gets caught when pulling it up and also to gently go back and forth to soak up any liquid. The swab is large and made of soft absorbent material. It works well with both alto and tenor saxophones (body), but I use a smaller swab for the necks.
