The SE GP3-SS30DT Prospector's Choice 12" Serrated Edge Digger is made of heat treated carbon steel, which allows this tool with straight and serrated edges to easily break through concrete, hard soil, and roots. The oversized comfortable grip and hand guard helps in minimizing accidental injuries. SE prospectors trowel is excellent, in my case gardening work. Tool has heft, and cuts through tough soil easily. Product appears very sturdy and the sheath seems fairly durable.

Used for metal detecting.after i bought my 1st one of this type our whole crew uses one for detecting and it also makes a great dirthole and trapbed trowel for the trap line! Simply indestructable!

Sehr schnelle Lieferung, toller Preis aber vor Allem stabil! Ich testete ihn heute gleichmal beim Sondeln, lies den Spaten im Auto und nahm nur den Digger mit. Er kam überall durch, der Boden war teilweise so hart dass ich vor lauter Steine nicht in den Boden kam. Trotz meines schon sehr kraftvollem Einsatzes verbog sich der Digger nicht und blieb wie er sein sollte. Ich kann ihn guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen!!!!

Cuando la pedà pensé que iba a llegar una herramienta más frágil pero resultó estar hecha de manera muy sólida. Excava bien en lugares terrosos donde el suelo no es blandito. Sin embargo creo que sà necesita afilarse un poco para lugares con pasto pues batallé con el mismo, nada grave, supongo que con la mencionada afilada va a ir muy bien. Ahora sólo me falta averiguar como afilarla.

The tool does a great job and having serrations on both sides is helpful (one side is fully serrated and the other has serrations on the lower portion of the blade). It is great in soft soil but have also used it in rocky soil with lots of small roots and while extra effort was required to create a neat plug, it still got the job done.The only potential issue is with the spade cover. Whilst the belt loop and edges are made from molle webbing type material the blade cover is made from fairly lightweight nylon cloth and I am concerned it may tear or eventually start to fray at the edges where it's stitched. Time will tell!
