After reading many warnings that hotel water kettles are rarely if ever cleaned and people have been known to try to clean their dirty underwear in them 🥵I decided to search for a safer hot water option. There have also been many very early flights for which I get to the airport and no stores are open yet for my essential coffee. Now enter this travel electric kettle! It is adorable - I really like the chic design with the rose gold stripe, and it’s small enough to fit easily in a backpack or carryon without taking more space than a shoe. The most important thing is that it works really well. The power at the airport is a little weak so it took a bit longer to get to the right hot temperature (there are multiple high temps you can choose from) but it was still only minutes. Then I used my Costa Rican pour over portable coffee maker to make a delicious cup of coffee at 4:50 am at my gate. I made the whole area smell amazing! :) yes I was sitting on the floor with a couple baggies of things like the tiny bags of coffee and disposable cups from previous hotel trips, but everyone was eventually jealous.I didn’t realize you’re not supposed to drink from the kettle itself, so it’s NOT a hot water bottle or something you can use to make a cup of tea without having another cup to pour into (at least they don’t recommend using it for anything other than plain water). But it is fast, efficient, adorable, and just the right size for a very large cup of coffee or maybe two cups of tea. It cools down quickly too so you can touch it after waiting the recommended minute and not get scalded, yet the inside water is beautifully hot. Then you just detach the cute little cord, wrap it up and put it back in the little baggie or straight in the bag and you’re on your way.The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about is the verbiage on the top of the lid - I thought it would be a sticker you can take off but the words of warning about “hot liquid and don’t touch yet, steam blah blah†are there forever, kind of taking away from the aesthetics. And I guess I was thinking I could put a tea bag in it once the water was hot, but you so kind of need another cup to make it work. Unless they just meant that you shouldn’t boil or use it to heat up any liquids other than water? I just don’t want to risk ruining it so for now I just use it as a kettle and pour out the water when done. Let me know if you figure out differently!Overall highly recommend for frequent travelers or those with limited counter space.

This is a portable kettle that is very useful in certain situations. I bought this prior to a two month journey to Thailand and Japan. I am an avid coffee lover, and bought it to make sure that I had a decent cup of coffee, no matter where I went. I was initially concerned that it did not have a spout. In fact, this did not matter at all in the slightest. Even though it has no spout it pours very directly into a cup with no issue. The only issue I will mention is that while the cup is insulated and prevents burns, you have to be very careful to let the kettle cool down a bit before you open the top because you can get burn that way if you open it right after the water boils. This is noted in the instructions and is important to remember in this review as well. I did it once and I did get some hot water on my hand. It did not leave a burn mark, but still please be aware. In most hotels where I traveled, there was a tea kettle in the room. One time the kettle was broken, another time the kettle was too dirty to want to use so this was great to have. Also, if you are staying in hostels, this is essential because you will not get a tea kettle in your room. That is the one situation I would say this is an absolute gem of a product. You are in your room and you don’t have a tea kettle and all of a sudden you need one. This happened to me in Tokyo. We stayed in a hostel for a week in a private room and there was tea kettle there. Granted there was one in the kitchen, but this product is very decent and a very good thing to have around if you have a power source and might need a tea kettle and want a clean one in your room. If you are in other countries, the water will boil even faster than it doesn’t United States because more power is running through the current. I think this kettle was heating up in like a matter of three minutes or something when we were in Japan. I love this thing. If I have guests.

Love this! Heats up quick and keeps the water warm. Love that it’s compact and small so I can just put it in my bag and use it at my convenience.

I don't know why it took me so long to purchase one of these. Having tea and real coffee while on the road is an amazing comfort. The low wattage means there's little risk of tripping a breaker and it's the perfect size to make a cup.Even though the temp goes up to 212 F, I don't ever use that setting. I did it once but the rolling boil causes water to splash out of the top. And if you're not at sea level, it won't automatically shut off since the water will never reach that temp. I use the next one down which is perfect. The cord tucks away inside the chamber when finished for easy transport. Can't speak for longevity since I've only made a few dozen cups of coffee with it so far but I'm happy.

Living in a small camper, this is the PERFECT thing for a quick cup of coffee or tea! It'll heat a full 15 oz of water from 35F to 195F in just under 5 minutes, so in the time it takes me to get dressed, I've got hot water ready for use. If you're looking for something inexpensive, fast, and easy on the power demands for water, this is it!

I travel often and wanted a kettle, and this seemed like the best choice. I loved the design and sleekness. I used it twice and was impressed with how quickly it boiled water. I took it with me on a work trip today. When I got to the hotel, I took it out of my luggage only to find the bottom of the bottle off! I could see the electrical components within the electric kettle. Needless to say, this doesn’t seem very safe nor sturdy. I tried to contact the company directly, but their website seems to be down. I went ahead and started a return.

I am loving this travel tumbler. Its very compact, I can bring it to work and It heats up real fast. I also like that I can choose how warm or hot the water will be on the screen. It only allows water to be heated. Teas, milk or other liquids are not allowed to be heated inside the tumbler. Satisfied 💯 %

Works awesome but bring back the 140 F preset. The ones now too cold or too hot.

Works well the only thing is the power cord could have been longer. None the less a good buy.

This is the perfectly sized kettle. It’s enough to make two espressos or one large cup of coffee or tea while travelling. It heats quickly, and so easy to use. I’m not a fan of drive through coffee, so this comes with me on all road trips.
