Opened this package up the night before Christmas to wrap it. It was missing the reel tightener/loosener I was bummed but got a replacement shipped after I found out and it arrived perfect. I greatly appreciate that! didn’t want to write a review until it was used. Let me just say my son absolutely loves it. Had absolutely no problems. It’s super durable fit right in my bag because all the good places you ovi have to walk to😂 I recommend this for any kid who wants to get out there and icefish.

As with most rod/reel combos the line on the reel is not very good. I expected that and replaced it before I went fishing the first time. Love the rod. It is a lot of fun ice fishing with it.

I expected a stiffer medium wt. pole. It is very flimsy. I would be worried about the ultra lite version since this medium seems like an ultra lite. I hope I can set the hook:(

great rod for smaller fish of one pound or so but a larger fish may be more difficult because the rod is very slender
