I have not tried them all, but of all I've tried (about 15 different varities) this is my favorite. It is adjustable, fits my finger best, doesn't fall off, and it also allows for longer nails. It's very comfortable to use. My only problem is finding the one I have. I generally work on several projects at once and it's always with the one I'm not working on. So I'm buying a couple more - Voilà - problem fixed. There are similar open sided thimbles to this that are lined with a silicone layer but it doesn't slide on nicely (since there is silicone), and those just feel thick and awkward. I've even tried those thin bands which are also lined with silicone but my needle always ends up where they are not. Ouch! I've tried the standard metal round thimbles we all grew up with which have never fit and fall off. I never figured out how people used those. Glue maybe? I've tried several leather thimbles which I do like, but they can be a bit thick and I spend more time trying to keep them on my finger than I do sewing.I'm finished searching for and trying out new thimbles. I found one that works great for me. This is it!

This thimble is comfortable and functional. Its open design doesn’t get as sweaty as closed thimbles and it also accommodates my long nails as well. My only complaint is that coppery smell my finger has after use, but at least I know it’s real metal!

I like the comfort of this thimble, but it is leaving a black stain on my finger tip and on the back of my finger from the bands. Hopefully whatever the finish is that is causing this will eventually wear off. I would leave a five star rating if it wasn’t for this issue.

Clover products are normally good quality, and this thimble follows that trend. The material is good quality and protects my finger well.

It fits and I don't get stuck when I use it but it's a little bit loose and I have fat fingers. That being said it is adjustable however once you go down that path you have new problems. It's easy to use and adjust and it's sturdy I just need to be able to feel so I only use it when it's a must.

I am a tailor and this is my absolute favorite thimble. I have pricked my finger with plastic and leather thimbles in the past. And the old fashioned metal ones never sat comfortably on my finger. But this one I actually enjoy using.

This is a great thimble, works well as described. However, I did get a medium thinking it would fit my thumb. A medium is not going to work on thumbs unless you have small hands and no arthritis in the joint. I am 52 yrs. old with average sized hands but do have some arthritis in my joints. But I do use it on my index finger and it works well. I like the metal cause it's not going to wear out. I've had leather and plastic which work well also but will adventually develope a hole. Ouch! If this is made in large or extra large I would order it for my thumb cause the thumb thimble gets used alot in hand quilting. Any way have a blessed day.

Very useful for hand sewing and adjustable, although since it is metal it takes a bit of pressure to adjust it.

Je déteste les dés à coudre (déteste...) mais celui-ci est idéal pour le quilting! De plus, il est adaptable donc si on a envie de changer de doigt, no problemo. A conseiller

Not used this yet, but have tried it on and it is very good. This will be staying in my sewing box for good.
