It’s great to push the needle through the tough patches when switching them on my bags. Just doesn’t fit my small fingers even got the small size. Still works better than bottle caps.

The raised circle on the tip of this thimble makes all the difference in the world. I was putting a new, thick fabric onto a camp chair that was as tough as nylon tarp material. In some places, the material had to be 3 layers thick to withstand the stresses and I was using 50 lb. test fishing line for my "thread". I couldn't have completed this task without a good thimble.I have several thimbles and these with the raised circle at the tip are the best. The needle doesn't slip off of the thimble since it catches on this raised circle. The one thimble I have that doesn't have this raised circle I don't use any more because the needle would always slip off.

I love the colors, that’s why I bought it, I have plenty of regular silver ones, but these ones have the rims inside that hurt my finger . I am a tailor and use all day long.
