Composed of DZR forged brass, this plumbing pressure gauge connects to a 3/4 inch MNPT and features a bleed port. These push-to-connect pressure gauges are easy to install, with no special tools, glue, crimping, or soldering required. These brass push pressure gauges feature a steel case with a 2 inch dial displaying 0 to 100 PSI. SharkBite brass gauges can withstand 200 degrees F and 100 PSI.

I needed to test a long run (400') of 1-1/2" PVC water line before I buried it to make sure there were no leaks. Once I had the right fittings I pressurized the line through the schrader valve and left it overnight. It lost a couple of PSI but I attribute that to temperature change in the pipe (in the hot sun, then in the cool morning shade). I buried the pipe and it help pressure throughout that day. After a couple weeks, it slowly lost most of the pressure (could be a slight leak in this unit or in the rubber-stopper "Oatey" end cap I used for the other end?). Overall, it worked for the job.

Tested prior to first use and it leaks. Notice the soap bubbles around the threading. Useless. It is also difficult to repair because shark bite chose to glue the threads rather than using teflon tape.

Installed 260’ of PEX A underground with multiple fittings and wanted to pressure test the lines before backfilling with dirt…ended up using this gauge and a 3/4 thread to 1 inch sharkbite quick fitting. The gauge almost worked perfectly. The threads were fairly rough and ended up tearing the Teflon tape while installing and wouldn’t seal to 100 PSI. I ended up unscrewing and re-screwing a couple of time and that appeared to help seat the threats much better before applying a second round of teflon tape. Not sure which is more accurate, my Milwaukee Tire Inflator or this gauge, but 100PSI on the Milwaukee ended up being 100PSI on the sharbite during the first inflate, then 98PSI on the shark bite during the other inflates. Overall, the gauges works and is priced right, especially given that even finding a gauge for PEX tubing is nearly impossible.

Worked as it should. I should have purchased two as I was disappointed with a 60psi unit I got for the gas service.

Used to pressure test an underground gas line. Very happy with the performance and helped pass my inspection.

Heading clearly says sharkbite, push to connect brass plumbing fitting. It is not sharkbite. Nor is it a push to connect fitting. And it’s not brass either. Inside is already rusty on mine. It’s brass colored steel. It will take an additional $17 fitting to attach to plumbing.
