These worked beautifully on my 1.2mm derailleur cables. I couldn't find the proper tool with enough leverage to make the crimp, so I used a pair of needle nose pliers in conjunction with a set of huge vise grips to crimp down the material. These are useful in preventing further cable fraying or from the frayed end cutting your skin.The alternative is to use solder and heat shrink tubing to seal the end of the cable.Overall: 5/5 stars

These are good quality. They do what they should. Don't fail to put on end caps, your cables will fray and poke out and then they are too big to put them on later. Take it from me, who waited too long the first time around.

Wow, these things are sure a lot better than stupid frayed ends hanging out there. Pricey, they could have a few more in the package, but being manufactured by Shimano you know they'll work correctly. I used a Park Tool to install them. That is sure pricey also but it's great having the right tool for even this simple job.

Um ein Ausfransen des Schaltzugs zu verhindern habe ich diese original Shimano Endkappen bestellt.Sie sind aus einem recht weichen Metall gefertigt und lassen sich super leicht mit einem handelsüblichen Seitenschneider verquetschen.Aber Vorsicht! Ein wenig zu viel Druck und die Endkappe ist kaputt!So ist nun mein Schaltzug (und der Zug der Dropper Post) vorm Ausfransen geschützt und es sieht noch dazu sehr professionell und edel aus.Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ob Bremszug, oder Schaltungszug, ohne eine Endkappe löst sich mit der Zeit die Verdrillung fast jedes Zugs. Die Schimano Endkappen habe mit einer normal Krimpzage auf die Zugenden montiert und Seit dem keine pieksigen Drahtenden mehr. Absolut empfehlenswert.
