What is Ceramic Fiber?
Ceramic Fiber is a man-made synthetic microfiber of specific diameter composed of high purity aluminosilicate materials which were developed since 1940s, to resolve various issues in other refractory materials. Ceramic fibers are produced in various forms like blankets, bulk fibers, cast shapes, paper, and textiles depending on the application.

This is a very heavy dense, fiberglass type material that feels more like dense cotton. I put a stainless steel chimney liner in a ceramic flu And needed something to pack around the liner to keep air from funneling up around the liner and escaping from the house due to the heat of the liner. This product worked very very well and was easy to use although I bought far more than I need. I discovered after I used it I needed really about 1 inch thick so I simply peeled it and it came apart like two blankets. Very easy to work with.

I got this to replace the blanket in my wood stove. I'm able to get at east 2 sheets from this. It cut easy with shears. If I had bought the actual one from a stove store they wanted almost $70. Half price, and I can get 2, maybe 3 out if it. A week if burning and no issues.

I was able to cut the material with Razorblade knife to fit perfectly. The one that was in there was placed by the professionals and it was terrible. They had replaced the original baffle board with a smaller one, and this replaces the smaller ceramic blanket that was placed by the ““ professionalsâ€â€. Appears to be very well constructed, and I was able to get to ceramic blankets for less than the price of one. I have not made a fire yet in the box, but it looks like it will perform even better than the original

Built a perlite concrete dome pizza oven. Two rolls of this worked fantastic as my insulation layer. Was able to wrap with chicken wire and a final render layer.

Bought this for a used dishwasher install. Way too thick and twice the cost of OEM. I made it work but never again, especially at this price.
