Works and works well. Got it for modding controllers and it sucks the air right through. Need it to be relatively close but doesn't get in the way.

Tons of draw for something so quiet. I’m not sure how it filters the smoke, but it works great. I’m not sure if I’ll ever have to clear the filters though.

I got this to exhaust some of the fumes while I’m soldering electronics. It works great. I’ve used it for several projects now and haven’t seen any issues with it. Great for you DIF small electronic use. It displaces enough air to ensure you’re not inhaling and hazardous fumes.

I’m surprised at the quality for the price. This thing is a beast! I changed out the fan itself for a custom fan, so I’m not going to comment on that, I flicked it on the day I got it and the draw seemed about 10” max.About the build, it is fab, tilts until the barn doors hit the legs, can be mounted. Easy access square filters. 90s PC colored!

This is all metal and only a few bucks more than the smaller plastic and lighter junk. Don't waste your money. Look no further—this works well! It also comes with a nice set of helping hands if needed.

My go to fume extractor is KOTTO’s yellow 5 square inch model and I’ve been very happy with it since purchased about nine months ago. I am all about trying new products and this Ziopetru brand fume extractor appears very competitive. So, I was able to obtain one to review via the Amazon Vine program and subsequently put it head-to-head with my go to model. Let’s discuss what I surprisingly enjoyed and what I unfortunately did not. Just remember that the KOTTO brand fume extractor sets the bar fairly high as it’s currently rated the #1 Best Seller in Fume & Smoke Extractors!I unboxed this product and it’s big, which could be a very good thing provided that the RPMs are competitive, but I cannot find that listed in the specs. I do, however, see that this unit is pushing at least 2 more inches in size! It’s also adjustable up to a 30° angle to make it more efficient! The specs say that it optimally clears smoke up to 5” away and has a maximum of 10”. I found this to be mostly accurate and the angled mounting bracket is very convenient. KOTTO does boast much more detailed specs to include having a 3,000 RPM fan that will clear smoke up to 5” to 6” away. The KOTTO unit also has rubber feet instead of the angled bracket, so there are trade offs, but I found their effectiveness to both be more similar than not. This is a good thing.Each product sports an activated carbon filter, however KOTTO provides specs for theirs at 0.4” thick, and they also supply a replacement filter in the box. The Ziopetru model does not provide a replacement filter, but they both seem to be of similar quality.The Ziopetru brand fume extractor does offer something unique to it, and it’s actually pretty cool, those are the pair of “work aid clips” that will allow you to not only position your project more easily, but also closer to the fume extractor. It’s a really nice touch. I have not attached these arms yet as I have another solution that I am happy using, but they also appear to be good quality.So, why not five stars? The power cable is shorter than the KOTTO product and really too short to be practical without the use of an extension cord. I really would have liked to see better power management to include a longer power cable and an easily accessible side power switch. I ended up unplugging something on my workbench as that has an integrated surge strip and it worked just fine. That said, rubber feet would have been a nice touch even if they only included four optional rubber bumpers in the packaging. Finally, I’d really like to see more professional specs, especially when considering that this product is going head-to-head with their KOTTO counterpart! All said, this is not a five star product due to these shortcomings, but three stars is honestly too low because it really is a good product when it comes down to it. Therefore, I am going with four stars and hoping that the manufacturer uses these suggestions to tweak the product and description a little because it could easily become a five star product with minimal effort on their part!Ultimately, yes, I do recommend this product. Just be sure to understand the pros and cons before purchasing.

That's pretty good I wish it had a little more draw distance but if you're close enough it does a great job very high quality construction.
