Ive only been woodworking for about a year now. I made my first epoxy table and made my own router sled to flatten. The biggest bit I had at the time was 3/4". It worked well but knew if I was going to do it again I needed to upgrade my bit. I have a Bosch 1617 router so I didn't want to go too big. I've used this bit to flatten epoxy tables, walnut and cherry slabs, end grain cutting boards and more. It cuts smooth, leaves a great finish with no tear out or anything and stays sharp. I havn't needed to rotate or replace the blades yet. It works so well I've been considering trying the 2" version. Worth every penny!

I was hesitating to purchase this bit. I'm glad I did. So easy to smooth a surface, I needed to cut only a 1/4 inch out of the top of a circle, did a great job.

I am new to a router sled and didn't know what type of bit to purchase. I purchased two. The first one went dull almost immediately. This bit is wonderful. It is smaller than the first bit I tried but it cut through my walnut plank very well. I like that the individual cutting heads can be turned when they dull to keep your bit sharp. I have not had to turn them yet but feel I will need to when I finish my 8 foot plank.

One blade sits lower. Finish is clean if you feed it slow. Could've had a better price.

I can’t speak for longevity but Here is a before and after of my spoil boardIt ran smoothly and chewed through the 23g pin nails that I use to hold down some of my projects without any noticeable damage to the cutters ! At this point i would recommend it ..if anything changes I will update my review

I purchased a flattening jig for cutting boards that I am making and needed a flattening bit. Got a much more expensive bit when I purchased the jig and also purchased this SpeTool bit because I new it would be available the next day when I needed it. The SpeTool bit outperformed the much more expensive bit and left a very smooth surface when surfacing endgrain hardwoods. Highly recommended.

At least for the woodworking that I do, I could not ask for better. The blades are super sharp and durable, they can be rotated, which provides for longevity, this thing hogs off material and most importantly it leaves a great finish.Depending on what Im making, I have even skipped sanding afterwards.

Bought this for slab flattening. I wasn't sure about the cutter design, but am very happy with it.
