Recently needed to replace my exhaust system on my Ram 1500. Living in area with heavy lake effect snow every year I wanted to go with clamps that would last longer than the common “u-bolt†exhaust clamps. After some research I decided stainless steel band clamps would be the best way to go. Clamps like these at local parts stores are on $20+ a piece. I was shocked to see these at such a low price and thought they must be inferior in some way. Being that they were on 50% off sale $5.00 each and free return policy I decided to take a chance. I’m glad to report that these clamps are excellent and even if they were not 50% off they are still a bargain. They fit prefect. I torqued them to 60 ft lbs and they are holding solid. I’ve already told some my of buddies that have their own shops.

had to replace the mid pipe on my '04 Scion with a Walker brand, and the original pipes are welded. The Walker pipe has an exact 2" flared end, so after measuring and cutting the old pipe out leaving 2" of overlap, and fitted the clamp over new pipe and which fit just like it had 1/16" to an 1/8" of clearance all the way around, had to sand the surface rust of the old pipe as it was a tight fit. This Clamp tightened up Perfectly, wasn't loose it was absolute perfect, clean, easy. This clamp is robust with very smooth edges, you wont cut your hands handling it, Not some cheap Chineseium crap.

These things are pretty heavy duty but the bolt was not long enough. I had to open up one end of the exhaust to slide the other exhaust pipe in, making the pipe a bit over 4". The bolt would not reach the extra 1/4" I needed to clamp it down. Ended up removing the bolt and using an extra bolt I had to clamp it down. Make the bolts about half an inch longer and these will be great.

I like how this style of clamps functions versus the old fashioned bolt style clamp. Way better design that provides additional clamping force to help resist leaks. Easy to install and a great value.

This is a review for the 2.5" band. It is a very robust band with the clamping metal being 1.8mm thick stainless and 1.25" wide. When fully closed it goes down to a 2.5" diameter. Open and just starting the screw threads you could fit a 2.7" pipe through it. I applied a magnet and it didn't stick to the band, but unfortunately everything else is not stainless. So only time will tell how long the rest of this camp will do before rusting away. It might be possible to replace the bolt with a stainless bolt and nut but be aware it is a press jam fit into the center block (like a wheel lug into a drum brake hub), so you need a press or at least a vice to remove. I suppose a hammer could do it if you don't have those. The band is thick and stiff so you likely won't be able to bend it open to put this around an existing connected pipe set, you'll have to take them apart first to install it. Other than those limitations I think this is a well made product for the money. I am using it to replace the POS Remus exhaust clamp on my 2017 BMW R1200RT. For a $1000 exhaust you'd think they could have included a decent clamp. This one looks more like the oem one and not flimsy like the Remus clamp that snapped when tightening. I had to weld a little nut onto this clamp for a trim part screw but other than that it's a great replacement.

This is not stainless it is aluminized steel and with the supplied hardware the bolt bottoms out before the clamp gets tight. It is stamped 10.8 but nut rounded easily when trying to tighten.
