Bought this for my studio to mount a rack hardware unit under my desk and it works perfectly! Sturdy build, easy to screw into the bottom of my desk, looks great, and could be used for just about any rack mount use you could think of - nice to have that versatility!

I needed to add a quality CD player to my home studio for playback of my CD collection. Real estate is very limited on my desktop for space so I determined I needed to do an under countertop mount. I looked at a number of 2U rack under mounts, but none of them could support the 9 pound weight of the new CD player. I came across the StarTech 2U mount and it had plenty of strength. Super easy to mount. Lifesaver solution! Highly recommended.

I purchased the 3U model to hold my new Ubiquiti UDM-SE server and it works great. I ended up mounting it horizontally and was only able to get 2 screws into wood studs and used wall anchors for the other 4.

This rack is very sturdy. The mounting holes to the wall are a little confusing as 2 of them are off center. The main holes are perfectly aligned on 16" centers and holding my server without hesitation.

I had limited space in the utility closet in my old house. Going vertical rather than horizontal allowed me to use traditional network cabinet gear without taking up so much horizontal space. I used the following components with the rack and they worked great:Pros:- Solidly built. Once the 4 wood screws are installed on the sides, there's little to no flex.- Mounts on standard 16-inch on center wall studs. Note: The rack is 19 3/4 inches wide from outer edge to outer edge.- Nice, slightly textured paint.- Comes with hardware mounting bolts and captive nuts. The bolts have plastic washers so that they don't scratch the rack paint.- I attached the NavePoint shelf to the studs above the rack to hold my modem and routerCons:- Because all of the ethernet and RG6 cables hang down below the rack, I had to be careful about strain relief, especially where I coiled up extra cable below the rack. The don't have a zip tie strain relief slot, so the weight of the cables hangs on the punched down wires. Next time, I'll use because they have the zip tie slots.

Having purchased StarTech.com products (including a server rack) before, I figured I'd try this bracket to hang a switch. I was impressed with the high quality of bends and welds, and the powder coat finish. Solid build, straight steel, true 90 degree bends, and no sharp edges. I swapped out the included wall hanging screws for lag bolts and used it in a horizontal position to hang the switch below floor joists. [I figured if I could do pull-ups on it, it would hold a 2 lb switch.]About a week later, I was finishing up the network installation at a new build house. The builder installed wall cabinet was too small to fit all of the wiring and a network switch. It was a no-brainer to get another bracket to hang a switch vertically on the wall just outside the wall cabinet for a clean-looking installation that the homeowner can be proud of.Very happy with the product!

This rack worked well to mount our home audio system up out of the way. I've used StarTech several times in the past and their products are always sturdy and well built. This 6U wall mount is no exception. A bit pricey but significantly less than the big-name brands like APC.

Per chi non ha l'esigenza di avere un rack case chiuso, ma vuole tenere in ordine la propria installazione domestica non c'è niente di più pratico.
