Mice will chew through anything but for some reason they don't want to chew on this. If you fill a gap or hole with this steel wool securely they will not get in! Wear gloves because the fine mesh fibers of metal can make splinters in your skin.

Most people really have no experience with steel wool. Maybe your only contact is Brillo or SOS pads. Now they are much more course than this 0000 grade. I basically use this for woodworking, especially when I have to put on multiple coats of stain or urethane. It definitely helps to get a great finish.

This seems to be regular steel wool. Nothing particularly remarkable about it. It can be used to plug up holes so that rodents won't enter through them. It can also be used for cleaning metal objects or for polishing wood when you are applying a finish. Anything that you would use steel wool for. This is a pretty fine grade. I am happy with it.

This is a nice roll of very fine steel wool. It feels much softer than the steel wool I have gotten in the past which makes it less uncomfortable to work with in my opinion. Though I will mostly use this to plug up some mouse entry points in the garage. I’m sure it’ll come in handy for other uses as steel wool usually does.

Steel wool can block building crevices that admit rodents; the stainless steel wool is rodent-proof and long-lived. (I.e., stainless steel wool is fireproof and rust-resistant. FWIW, I did not try using this premium steel wool for polishing or rust removal.) This item provides 13 feet of 3 inch wide steel wool having .25 inch compressed thickness: unroll enough steel wool to fashion a multiple-layer plug, cut with good scissors, fashion and then attach the plug using tacks or wire to block crevice entry. The #0000 grade steel wool IMO is hand-friendly; I experienced no irritation bare handling the steel wool, but I was careful to avoid creating steel wool dust and afterwards I washed my hands well to avoid eye accidental irritation. The steel wool arrives rolled and packaged in a cellophane gummed envelope.

You’ll get what you expect - a roll of 0000 steel wool in a plastic bag.I’m satisfied with it.

Put the steel wool in the area you need fixed and then apply the stucco or concrete material. This makes a difference because the mice don't eat through it. This is standard steel wool.
