Wearing gloves, this was easy to cut and easy to handle and install. Cut amounts and stuffed it into the cracks and crevices that rodents enter.
Steel wool filling fabric is made of high quality metal fiber, similar to wool, soft and thick, flexible to bend to the corners. Small animals can't chew through steel fibers, effectively blocking animals from entering your home.
Just cut it to the length you need to wrap around the pipes at the hole, blocking the hole off and mice will not chew steel wool so it blocks them and keeps them out.
Multipurpose:
Steel wool can be used to fill holes and cracks of all sizes, effectively insulates rodents, insects, etc. from crawling into your barn, workshop, basement, windows, exhaust vents, air conditioners, floor cracks, radiators, etc.

I was looking for steel wool in a roll like this, which is very hard to find. You absolutely can't beat their price either. AND, it is so thick, you get at least twice as much as you think you are. I was able to pull it and stretch it and got way more out of it.

NOT STAINLESS STEEL, but I went ahead and gave it a 2 star because I I'm going to use it for what I purchased it for, instead of having to wait for more to get here. Typical Amazon false advertising!!!

This is not stainless steel as described- it rusted immediately when it got damp.
