These 3/8 npt x 3/8 jic are 304 stainless, which is ideal for a marine environment. The NPT side is accurate. The JIC side is 100% NOT a JIC fitting. The size, thread and flare are all incorrect. I have given this 5 stars so that this warning comes near the top in reviews. Strongly suggest you look at the 1 star reviews as they are correct.

I used these to couple loose ends of HVAC hose sets for long-term storage. This method was a cheaper alternative to the MegaFlow hose hanger.

I ordered 5 of the 3/8†JIC x 3/8†NPT to work with some hydraulic fittings. Well, these are not 3/8†JIC, the thread diameter is too big. They also aren’t 3/8†flare either so I really don’t know what they would fit. It’s between 3/8†JIC and 1/2†JIC thread diameter is all I know for certain. I really do not like having to reorder things and spend more days waiting on the right fittings to arrive.
