Nice wider head which may or may not be a plus for you. the telescoping sections are thicker and hopefully will last longer. Doesn't bend when picking up a dropped tools. I don't think this is the pick up tool for dropping a bolt in a crowded engine compartment. The magnet is strong and the device seems well made. Only time will tell. The 35lb load limit is a fairy tale.

That it is exactly what it was described as and it's nice and strong. I'm using it to make a pointer tool from my motorcycle services. You know a DIY tool that's telescopic for the hole through it like a 2 ft pointer, magnetize it to a steel plate, Center it for my Harley front fender for the fall back / swing away neck bearing test

Lightweight but magnet is strong. Easy to stretch it out, telescopic and move around without dropping to the floor to find small items. Grip is good. Simple yet well made.

I bought this to help in a specific situational environment and it serves its purpose well. BUT ... For general use, this tool would NOT make the grade. You see, the head is fixed. In the overwhelming cases in need of a magnetic retrieval, the magnet will require pivotal freedom. This tool provides none. Therefore I cannot recommend for general use.

I had a cheap, little, magnetic pickup tool, but the problems I ran into was a small magnet and it often didn't quite reach where I needed it to. This one solves both problems. It has a large, strong magnet, and reaches much farther than my previous tool.
