It took way to much force to secure the clip to the the pin. I tried all of the clips and all of the pins, and had the same result. I went out and bought more clips from a different manufacturer, and they work just fine. I am not a weak person, and have used more than one trailer hitch over the years. So this is not coming from inexperience. If I ever need a setup that is garunteed to never come undone I will grab one of the these originals for sure. But for every day use like taking my bike holder on and off my Outback, these will not work for me.
