I recently moved up to a cottage in the mountains and live a ways down a narrow road. We have to take our trash cans all the way up the road closer to the main highway, so it's a good half mile trek in the pitch dark woods. This hooks up to the tow hitch on my truck and lets me carry the trash can to and from the pick up area easily. In the upright position you can slot the can on the arm and it will support the trash can off the ground. If you release the handle the arm swings down and can be used to drag the can using its wheels. I saw similar devices, which this one probably copied, for several hundred dollars. While those are made in the US, probably with better materials and cleaner welds, this one comes from China. The welds are okay and the powder coating is a bit rough, but for a fraction of the cost, it gets the job done. It feels sturdy and has been working great so far. For most things that attach to a tow hitch, I wouldn't go cheap, but this is only carrying a trash can and not towing a trailer.

Easy installation and operation. Used it on both a Kubota RTV900 and 2350 tractor during a snow event when I couldn't clear my drive by trash day. The drive is paved and a 1/4 mile long. I should have bought this long ago.

Bought 2 of these trash can grabbers for a dual lift system. Product arrived undamaged & well packaged. Product also appears to be sufficiently robust for the work its expected to do. However, fitting the receiver pin through one of the grabbers was not possible as it arrived. The 5/8" pin fit through one side of one of the grabbers but not the other, the hole was too small. Rather than return the unit, I reamed out the hole slightly on my drill press and the pin fit just fine. Minor inconvenience; but slightly annoying.

It works well enough I guess, but my neighbor has a more expensive brand and I wish I had gotten that instead. Its easy enough to get the empty can onto the mount, but when it comes time to release with a heavy can, it requires pushing up on the can with a fair amount of strength to release pressure, while simultaneously flipping the switch. If the can is filled with 80lbs of stuff you push up with say 40lbs of pressure. Its fine with two people, but really challenging with one person since you cant be on both sides of the can at once. Since I mostly cart bins of yard waste that are heavy, I no longer use the fancy articulated hitch with release mechanism and instead just lean the can over placing the handle in the hitch and drag it on its wheels. This defeats the purpose.

Love this. It hooks to my jeep wrangler - just misses the spare tire. Hook my trash can to it and then drive to the road. I live on a farm with a long driveway and this works well to save me from walking it all the way. Definitely would buy again. Good quality and it does the job well.

Use this every time I move my garbage can to the street. Easy to use when the can isn’t full. Perfect size and great way to tow your garbage can. Isn’t easy to get the garbage can on when it’s full.

I wish this could lift the can higher off the ground. The hinge point on the toer it uses is strong enough to support the entire toter. However, as it stands now, the wheels occasionally touch the ground while I drive up the road. Although I’m not driving fast, I’m concerned about the wheels breaking.
