Works great, my 1/2" drill has a collar of 43 millimeters. So, I did not have to use any of the plastic spacers. The drill press collar held the drill very securely. The stand is heavy enough to drill without tipping over. I do recommend you take a few minutes to adjust the bit perpendicular to the base, and tighten all screws. I bought this so I could control the speed on large diameter bits. This was cheaper than buying a kit to slow down my drill press.It also gives me a portable drill press. I tested it by using a1inch plug bit, and it worked great.

In theory this is a great item.Built very well you will need a very specific drill a corded one with no more than a 43 mm collar a quality 1/2 drill is 44 won’t fit. To drill a hole you must make many adjustments . If you can get a drill press. But if you absolutely want a stand this is definitely one of the best.

This is a nice light duty drill press. Fit my dewalt 1/2 drive corded perfectly. Drilled thru 1†solid round steel.

The Drill Press Stand does not hold a drill tight enough to give me the certainty that it is accurate. I love the concept and the holder is heavy weight, but the support mechanism is just a flimsy piece of plastic.

Not bad - could have better clamp for drill. Mine was missing top plastic piece also, but too much trouble and expense to send back.
