My old Jeep has plastic vacuum lines. Over the years, the heat under the hood has cooked them to a delicate crispiness (like those thin pretzels). Any time I move something I hear a snap and its time for a repair. The accepted method is to slide a silicone tube over the fracture. But, that is a poor fit, has a mind of its own, and has to be tied down with ugly zip ties. So, I tried using soft copper tube as I did with cooked plastic PCV lines. The 5/32" copper tube has a 1/8" ID and is a perfect replacement to the original plastic. And, you bent it into the shape needed and it stays there all by itself. Cool!

I purchased the 1/8" and the 3/32". These should be 0.125" and 0.094" respectively. Delivered items measured 0.118 and 0.086" respectively. 3mm = 0.118". --- 2.2mm = 0.086. I have no idea if 2.2 is a standard metric size or just something strange that came out of the die. The gist though is that the product description does not tell you what you are actually going to get. That is the reason for 2 star. Tubing QUALITY appears fine. Note that tubing wall also is thinner than is nominal for inch tubing, but not so thin as to be fragile. **** EDIT 5/13/22: The seller has added the metric true size info since I reviewed a couple days ago. I have upstarred my rating. -- It is good tubing and valuable since it is, mostly, close enough to substitute for inch. Unfortunately not however in push to connect application.

I was most happy about the fact that it was easy to bend. The color changed fairly quickly outside which made me suspicious whether it was 100% copper, but the tree seems to be responding well, moreso than the indoor plants where there isn't the same access to the sun being able to run energy through the wire.

I use this tubing to make elements for jewelry. It is very easy to bend and hammer, so suits my needs perfectly.

I wanted to use this for a dollhouse chandelier project, however it is impossible to cut without smooshing the edge. So sad.

I should have looked at the size better when I was looking for this tubing. I had been looking at 1/4" tubing to coil up and throw into my firepit. I found this for 10 dollars and thought, wow, that's a great price!! It is a great price. But... the tubing is 1/8" O.D. Literally, about the size of a round toothpick. It will work for what I wanted but I wish I had read the description better.

The product is actually 3mm OD, not 1/8 inch. These sizes are not equivalent and there are practically no applications where 3mm can be used in place of 1/8 inch.
