My son ordered these reeds for his bass clarinet. He had some very important competitions coming up. With these wonderful reeds he secured 2nd Chair in our District and 3rd Chair for our State. He was pleased with the feel of the reeds and above all the price was cheaper than buying from the one local music store we have in town. He will be ordering these again soon. Thank you.

I match these reeds with a bass clarinet Selmer Focus mouthpiece and it work really well.I would recommend 3.5 strength though.

These reeds are ideal for any intermediate player. There rich sound make switching between registers clean and flawless. The clarity of the upper register is amazingly beautiful(high c to middle c). The lower register can be blasted and not warp the reed which i love(unlike traditional vandorens). I am a high school player but i will use these reeds for the length if there production

M daughter was skeptical about trying something different than she usually uses, but says these reeds are definitely superior to just the regular VanDoren reeds she has been using. She used her new reed for a solo performance recently and the sound was deep and rich. I'll definitely buy these again!!

Just switched from CR123 to these and very noticeable in terms of ease of playing and sound. Well worth the price increase from CR123 reeds.

I usually use Vandoren tenor sax reeds. I tried these on a whim. I have played bass clarinet for 35 years and after the horrible cheap ones we used to buy in school for BC, I tried some tenor reeds one day. I thought they were better quality. I've been playing on Vandoren ones for 20+ years but always the tenor reeds. I got hooked on the red package "darker" tone ones but then I tried these just to see if bass clarinet reeds had evolved any and I just don't care for these. There is nothing really wrong with them but they seem less responsive and not that rich tone that I like. I think it's just a personal preference because I do like Vandoren reeds.
