A quick aside to actually review the product...Two thumbs up, fits perfectly, plugs in perfectly, wiring is the same as OEM, lights up the fridge beautifully, doesn't cost a fortune, and buying the whole OEM assembly is frankly stupid, because:1. The OEM is the thing that already died on your fridge.2. Expensive as heck.3. The same amount of frustration is involved with replacing the entire assembly as is replacing just the boards.Showing my age a bit, I recall a time when the light in your fridge would go out, and 5 bucks at the hardware store would get you the bulb, it would be easy peasy to replace it, and you'd be done before any food got warm.Not so for my couple-year-old Maytag, which according to its hard-to-find info tag is actually a Whirlpool, specifically a model MFI2570FEZ07.The light assembly is ridiculous. There is no way for anyone without the service manual or the RIGHT guide or YouTube video to determine authoritatively how it is held in, so your only option is pretty much "pry and pray" for how to get the thing disassembled. And the videos I could find all referred to models that used the same boards, but the assembly was not insane like mine is.For what it might be worth to you, if you have the exact same fridge I do, a narrow screwdriver is required, as well as a #2 Phillips to remove the lens, a #1 Phillips to remove the boards from the assembly, and it doesn't hurt to have a flexible putty knife to pry the assembly downward while you use the narrow screwdriver to try to disengage the latches.I'll attach some pics, since I was finally able to get the stupid thing disassembled, and once that part happens everything is easy. Look at the pictures to see how the thing would come off the ceiling of the fridge.Lens first.Lighting assembly second.Now you close your fridge door, keep your food cold, take the unit to a bench or table, and do the very simple board replacement.Putting back together is so much simpler than taking apart, won't bother with how, it's self-evident.

This LED Light for many models of refrigerators was exactly what I needed to replace the flickering, dimmed main light in my Whirlpool appliance. I watched videos about removing the light cover or lens and getting the light unit opened, which was the step I was most concerned about. For me however, once I got the cover off and the panel opened, the two green bands were easy to unscrew (6 screws) and easy to install. I was worried about opening the light to check part numbers before the new one arrived, because we needed some light so I didn't. I trusted the appliance numbers on this Amazon product listing. The one I received was identical to the piece I removed, including even the part number printed on the LED board. I shouldn't have hesitated so long. Problem solved immediately with little effort and hardly any cost. Don't call a repairperson - use this.

It was a perfect fit and work well. The reason for the 4 stars is I think the wires connect the LEDs to the fridge are just not thick enough. I assume they test them and they are capable of handling the electricity load. But they do work well. Very bright and easy replacement. They also shipped very slow. They were at the warehouse near my house yet my order took 3 days to process and then shipped overnight.

Worked great in our French door whirlpool fridge. Original lights were flickering real bad and that is fixed now.Replacement was super simple and now the fridge is a whole lot brighter.

Perfect replacement part for OEM whirlpool Frig. Easy to replace, YouTube videos assist as the light cover has a small plastic latch that is hard to see, the video explanation was perfect

I was hesitated this won't fit on my whirlpool fridge before I ordered, because the picture posted from seller shows the plug is little different. However, when I got the package, everything is exactly the same the manufactured one: size of the board strips and plug. Works well. Also, the delivery is fast, packaging is good, and the price is better compare to dealer. I will monitor this product to see how long it will last and post more info. for more viewer
