While it seems like something Yamaha should have done to begin with I replaced the prickly wire winch cable with this genuine WARN winch rope. Yup. $100 bucks is a lot for a rope and hawser, you get what you pay for.My advise, go for it.

I bought this to swap out the cable on my VRX 35. The instructions were pretty good considering it's from Warn, as some of there instructions on some other products are a bit convoluted.Makes the winch easier to use as a cable is a huge pain to deal with most of the time, not to mention the wire slivers.Easy install, took about ten minutes.

Rope at drum side was extremely sloppy and loose. The finish on the fairlead was wearing off pretty good after lifting my snow plow up and down 5x.

My kit was missing the mandatory steel puck for installation, but was able to improvise. Otherwise a good kit to upgrade from wire rope.
