Bought a few sets. Yes, some were broke, but the seller or Amazon made right and then some. Just order extra the first time if you must have a minimum amount for time sensitive situations.

I ordered these for home mycology, as an effort to have reusable dishes rather than continuing to use the disposable plastic ones. I was worried about clarity on these, but that is not an issue. I was also worried about all the reviews of showing broken petri dishes. Mine were packed very well, with extra packing material inside the box. I also ordered these with other products, so the box did not ship by itself. Rather, it shipped inside a much larger box. The lid does not press fit at all to the bottom, so if you are going to handle these very often you will want parafilm. The gap between the top and bottom is significant. However, this is probably this way to prevent the lids from sticking after sterilizing in an autoclave. Ultimately, when looking for glass dishes I wanted borosilicate glass, clarity, no broken dishes, and a good size at a good price. These check all those boxes. I will be ordering more.

I took the chance with these after reading about how some came broken and others none were broken. I was willing to except that one may break maybe even 2 but when I received 4 broken out of the 10, that was a bit ridiculous. Packing does need improvement and also the quality of glass. It felt so fragile to hold and I tapped them and it sounded like they could break at the slightest touch. Another reason is the top lid pretty much covers the bottom piece almost touching the surface area where as I like the lids to have room between the surface area to make sure the parafilm seals it off but that’s more of a personal preference.

For the price these are good. There are some flaws in a couple of them, but they are fine for my needs. Holds up to autoclave with no issues.

The lids and bases for these Petri Dishes are exactly as expected and for the cost seem to be an excellent choice as I shopped around a bit looking for good reviews to get the most bang for my buck. The lids could be a tad closer in size but that would be the only thing I'd change and isn't a big deal.There is 1 minor defect in one of the bases. It looks like the glass may have been burnt and slightly warped. One of the images attached shows what it looks like. I was worried it would be brittle but has held up so far.As for the packaging, it is subpar. There should be more room or something to protect these other than the thin foam paper separating the lids from the bases. 3 bottom pieces were broken and 1 lid was broken.I want to keep them and have them replaced if possible instead of getting a refund as I do not regret my purchase and still think the value is there.

These are thick, clear glass. I just received them so haven't autoclaved yet, but there shouldn't be a problem. Most importantly, the dishes are well packaged - the box shown came in a larger box with air pillows, and the box with the dishes was perfect size with foam, fabric, and paper protecting the plates, keeping them tight. Impressive actually. I was concerned since other reviews noted broken dishes, but these were so well packaged it would take quite a hit to break them. And the price is great. If you buy actual Pyrex petri dishes you're looking at $100+ for a dozen. Those break when they hit the floor all the same. Great value!

These were just delivered. I haven't used them yet. They arrived well packed, gleaming clean, and unbroken. The glass is very clear and transparent and free of obvious imperfections. The lids are slightly oversized but fit easily. I think they will do nicely for my application.

I wanted to see for myself, but this is definitely a scam. These are just plastic, not borosilicate at all. 9/20 came cracked, completely unusable. Will be sending back to Amazon for a refund

Total scam. It's cheap plastic worth a few bucks at most, it's not glass as advertized.

This is supposed to be glass, all I got was a stack of polystyrene garbage. What a waste.
