Used this on my 99 toyota landcruiser front axles. Perfect fit for the job.

I used this for the front bearing job on my 99 LX470 which uses 2 54mm nuts to keep the bearings in place. Preloading them is important. They need to be at a certain torque before being backed off to hand tightened, then the outside one needs to also be set at a certain ft lb.The ding bat who worked on the car before me used a chisel or flathead and a hammer to basically bang the nut in place, and I guarantee they don't know what they torqued it to. After grinding down the nuts to get rid of the gouges, the socket fit the nuts perfectly. That being said, the "3/8" hole for my torque wrench was way too small. Basically had to hammer the socket on in order to get it to stay, then hammer it off to remove it. It did the job well, but QC leaves much to be desired. Thankfully I shouldn't need to use this ever again, but if I do I know I have the right tool.

I needed to spend time filing out the hole before a ratchet or breaker bar would fit. After that it worked as advertised but I spent more for this one than some others hoping I would not have to fix the tool before the Land Cruiser.

This is a 54mm socket but it doesn’t fit on a 54mm hub nut. Confused
