I recently used this cable to help pull down some trees that were leaning the wrong way towards some power lines. Attached a strap about 20 foot up the tree, attached the cable to the strap, and the other end of the cable to a winch cable on a 2 ton truck. With the truck brakes set on all 4 wheels, the winch pulled caused the truck to move and no hardware failed. So for medium duty, this cable seems fine. I'm sure it could take more but will need to find something bigger to tie the cable to.

We purchased this to hang over a branch of an oak tree. Using a truck, we lifted cut up pieces of a tree. Some were as heavy as 600 pounds. It stood up very well
